Half way through the week and only a half day left to work for me! We are off to Bute for the weekend with family and I am looking forward to it. No mobile phone reception, no TV, no Internet for a few days. I am taking a stack of magazines and a few books to read by the open fire!

This dress is so comfy for me to wear at the moment, but the tights that I have on today are not. They do not come up high enough (they are not maternity) and then are sitting in just the wrong place.

Today's outfit is:

Jersey wrap dress - Gap
Tights - SkunkFunk
Scarf - Old Navy
Shoes - American Eagle
Necklace - Primark

I had to wait at home this morning as we were having the carpet for the babies room delivered. After a bit of a mix up it is laying rolled up in our hallway waiting on the room getting painted.

Yesterday after work I had an appointment at French Connection to buy Autumn Winter 2010 styles. While I was there I remembered about this lovely cardigan from last year. It has a belt (and looks much better when belted) but belts do not work for me AT ALL at the moment, so I making do. And I do like the look!

Today's outfit is:

Jeans - Liz Lange for Target
T-shirt - Primark
Cardigan - French Connection
Scarf - Forever 21
Shoes - American Eagle

I am having some time off at the weekend so I am in work today. I have not slept too well over the weekend and the weather has been great, so we have made the most of it by going long walks with the puppy, and I am rather tired today.

We are currently going through another cold snap (no snow but lots of frost and bright days) so I decided to go with a cosy cowl neck, knit tunic and my Ugg boots for today.

Just to clarify (after my earlier post) I do not see Ugg boots as fashion boots either. I have them as casual comfy boots, for days where I am walking a lot and want warm feet. Or to wear around the house and tuck yoga pants into. I do not think of Ugg boots as fashion boots - I would not wear them to go on a night out with the girls! But at the moment (6 months pregnant) they are just what I need to keep me upright, warm and comfy!

Today's outfit is:

Knit tunic - Topshop
Leggings - Primark
Boots - Ugg

Week 2 of the home manicures and so far all is well. I think my nails are in nice order, they are shaped and polished and so far I have had no breaks. Decided to go with a nice bright red to cheer up the last of the February days - while I wait on my Essie polishes to arrive!

Saturday 20.02.

I did not get around to posting on Saturday as the shop was pretty constant with customers and friends popping in for chats (some bring tea and cakes).

I really do love this tunic, but I think I may have to think about stopping wearing it. As the day goes on my bump stretches it out (which is fine) but it does not just grow in the bump area, it gets very loose in the neck and shoulders. On Saturday I felt like I was constantly adjusting things. However, the pretty sleeves made up for it.

Saturday's outfit was:

Leggings - Primark
Tunic - Vila @ i am.....
Cami - Primark
Necklace - Ann Taylor Loft
Boots - Bakers

A debate - Fashion or Function??

On Friday there was a bit of talk on Twitter about FitFlops releasing a few new styles, one being SuperTrainers and the other SuperBoots.

Now I am a LOVER of FitFlops (the flip flop styles) I wore mine all summer long and have to say that I could walk for miles in them, they are so comfy and I always felt nicely supported. However, I have always said that they are not an attractive style. The wobbleboard technology gives them a thick sole and makes them very chunky.

So, on Friday there was rumours floating around Twitter about these new styles and I then read another blog that made mention of the SuperBoots and how they were going to look more like a "Fashion boot" than a "fitness shoe". I left a comment on this blog as I feel that FitFlop will never fall into the fashion category. They, to me, are not makers of "fashion" styles they make "function" styles.

Now, I have not seen a picture of the new SuperBoot, but I have seen the FitFlop Mukluk boots that were released Autumn Winter 09. They are not a "fashion" boot, they are, in my eyes, a true "function" boot (I have to point out here that I wish I had a pair of these for dog walking, as I imagine they are as comfy as my beloved FitFlops). They are for keeping cosy and comfortable on long walks or daily coimmutes (where you want to make the most of the exercise that you are gettting). The Mukluk style is not one that (again my opinion) would be purchased, to be worn with skinny jeans, to go on a night out with the girls!?

I can not see how FitFlop are going to keep the Wobbleboard technology that they are so proud of and create a "fashion" boot.

What so you think?

It is Friday again - they seem to be coming around really fast at the moment......

I ended up having a bit of a later night than planned last night and I am very sleepy today. I thought that to combat the sleepiness I should wear something fabulous.

Photobucket

These studded waistcoats came into stock a few weeks ago and I LOVE them. I think they are going to work in so many ways and with so many items no matter what the season - I hope to be able to try it with safari shorts and a white t-shirt in the summer.

I think that it works well with the colours in the tunic and it prompted me to wear bashed gold/bronze cuff that I have not worn for such a long time!
I seem to have lost the love for jewellery whilst pregnant. I am sure it will return, although how well it will work with a baby - I am not sure!!

I have had a busy day cleaning and changing the window display, shifting stock around and chatting a serving the customers that have ventured out on this cold but very sunny day. I shall be having an easy, relaxing night and hopefully weekend.

Today's outfit is:

Stripe tunic - Vila @ i am.....
Leggings - Target
Waistcoat - BlendShe @ i am.....
Shoes - Primark
Necklace - Forever 21
Cuff - Banana Republic

Half day for me today - YAY! I have nothing special planned for this afternoon - just some laundry and bathroom cleaning. But I am heading out to a friend's house for dinner and a catch up later on.

I have had these jeans since November, they are part of the Liz Lange maternity range for Target. Up until last week they were a little too big for them to be comfortable and look good. But now that the baby bump is steadily growing they are great - and they are (at the moment) so much more comfortable than the H&M skinnies.

Today's outfit is:

Jeans - Target
T-shirt - BlendShe @ i am.....
Cardigan - Target
Scarf - eBay
Shoes - American Eagle

I seem to have left it a bit too late to take pictures today - not such a great shot, but thought I would share anyway!

This dress is really comfy and it is warm too (even though it is short sleeved). I did have my black cardigan over the dress most of the day, but the pictures with it on were really not good....

Today's outfit is:

Dress - Target
Tights - Tesco
Shoes - American Eagle
Necklace - Forever 21

Decided to manicure my own nails to save a bit of cash in the run up to the baby arriving, so I though I would share the colour with you.
I nude tones on the nails and this shade is so odd that it goes with everything!!

Review - Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips.

Photobucket

I am a complete sucker for lip products - balms, tints, glosses I am even coming back to lipsticks.....

However, since becoming pregnant I can not be bothered with a faffy beauty routine. I wear make-up everyday to work and I like to keep the time spent in front of the mirror to a minimum. I carry a small collection of essential items around with me in my make-up bag (which I move from bag to bag). Then there are the lip products that litter the bottom of every bag, every pocket, the ash tray in the car and from time to time my (fabulous) boyfriend's pockets.

Anyway, since becoming pregnant it is my constant topping up of lip gloss that has fallen by the way side. I have found that some of my favorites have even started to annoy me. Ones with sparkle feel a bit blah and others are far too sticky or scented.

Back in November I started the hunt for something that I could have as a make-up bag essential. I very quickly stumbled upon Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips, in my local Superdrug.
Boy am I glad, it is the perfect product for me at the moment.

It is small so it is no hassle to carry around (and it was fabulous while travelling in November). The tin does not get messy in the way that some glosses do. The scent is lovely and not at all over powering. The tint is very slight and is totally perfect for everyday wear. As well as all of this it has the Vaseline Lip Therapy basics so it moisturises and conditions the lips very well as well as leaving a nice subtle shine.

This product could also act as cheek and eye product, but I have not tried it in this way so I could not comment on how it looks.
For the tiny price tag of £1.49 this is a truly fabulous one stop product.

After a miserable, wet day yesterday we got frost overnight and the gritters were not out. So the pavements were like ice rinks.

I decided to plan this outfit around what I could wear my Ugg's with (I know, I know - they should not be worn to work.......). This tunic and legging combo fit the bill and is comfy too. I have to say that I am glad that I went with it - I like this look.

Today has been a rather funny one. It has been quiet for long spells (long enough to paint nails and let one coat dry!!) and then really busy for 15 minutes. Weird!

I have decided that I am going to try and get back into the way of home manicuring and polishing my nails again. I have been neglecting them lately. Thankfully this means that I can take a trip to Superdrug and Boots tomorrow and treat myself to a new shade of polish!!
My toes, however, they need professional help - must get that organised.

Today's outfit is:

Tunic - Blendshe
Leggings - Target
Scarf - BlendShe
Boots - Ugg

On another note - I took down the Valentine window props this morning and bought a gorgeous bunch of sunny, spring Daffodills. I LOVE Daffodills so much, I always think that they are the happiest (looking) flowers! Also, they suggest that Spring is just around the corner!!

Goodbye Valentine.....

I did not manage to get around to taking a picture of my outfit on Friday - but you really were not missing out on anything. I was tired and feeling rather uninspired, so I went with my maternity cord trousers, a white t-shirt (which was just a little too short) and a cardigan.

I love this little tunic/dress that I wore on Saturday - it only arrived into stock last week and I decided to take one, in a size up from what I usually wear, and see what I thought. It is so light weight and comfy that I knew that I was keeping it. Also I love that it is such a gorgeous shade of blue. And the detail around the hem is so cute!!

Saturday's outfit was:

Tunic/Dress - BlendShe @ i am.....
Leggings - Target
Cardigan - Hollister
Shoes - American Eagle
Necklace - Forever 21

Half day in work for me today!! I have my 28 week appointment with the midwife this afternoon. I like my appointments with the midwife as I get to hear the babies heartbeat and she will advise me on things or answer any questions. But, this week I have to have blood taken, something that I do not look forward to - AT ALL! I have in the past been known to hold my breath throughout the process, which then leads to dizziness and fainting!

Must remember to breathe this afternoon!!

I am loving these little tunics that came into stock a few weeks ago. They are so comfortable for me to wear and I still feel smart when I have them on. I decided to stick with the black and white look, but switch in some polka dots on the scarf.

Today's outfit is:

Half way through the week already!!

I was wakened just before my alarm again this morning, so I took Bista out for a walk before showering and getting dressed. I also had a few moments longer than usual to plan my outfit for the day. So I decided to repeat one that I really liked from the other week.

It has turned frosty again here, but the days are so nice and sunny and bright that I really do not mind. Layering was key for my walk to work - hence two cardigans, scarf and boots!

Anyway it is time for me to get on..... I have to come up with a Spring theme for the display window, I really would like to do something a bit different. I need to go and find that thinking cap!

Today's outfit is:

Cardigan/Jacket - Abercrombie & Fitch
Cardigan - Forever 21
Tunic - Mina UK
Leggings - Oasis
Boots - Faith

After a lovely two days off (which felt longer - yay) it is back to the grind for me today. In the last week or so, I have started to not sleep so well and this is making me a little lazy in the mornings. I am definitely going for comfort and quickness over style most days.

Today is one of those days!

Although I was feeling sleepy this morning Bista woke me up a little before my alarm. So, I got up had my breakfast and took her a quick walk before showering. I even had enough time to clear up the kitchen and organise tonight's dinner before heading out to work. I feel so good for doing all of this that I am going to try and be more active in the mornings.

Today's outfit is:

Grey tunic - River Island
Cable knit leggings - Target
Cardigan - River Island
Scarf - H&M
Boots - Bakers

I thought that I would dress up a little today, for a few reasons. The first is that it is Saturday and the shop is usually a bit busier and I like to look smart. And the second is that I am going out for dinner with a friend straight from work and again I want to look nice.

I love this dress, I always feel so girlie and dressed up when I wear it. I also think that it has a vintage look to it. But, I think my days of wearing it have ran out for a while. The band under the bust is a little uncomfortable. Oh, well it will be like putting on a new dress when I do get around to wearing it again.

Saturday's outfit is:

Cream dress - Vila
Cardigan - Primark
Tights - American Eagle
Necklace - eBay
Ring - Charlotte Russe
Shoes - New Look
Coat - Forever 21

This feels like it has been a really long week. I have no plans what so ever for this evening and I am so happy about that.

I am going to take the puppy out a walk as soon as I get in and then we can settle down for an evening of lounging on the sofa. I got quite a few chores done yesterday afternoon, so there is nothing urgently needing my attention at home.

I am still suffering with a headache. I called the Dr this morning and had a chat with him. He asked me to go in and have my blood pressure checked (it is fine - thank goodness). Hopefully a nice chilled out weekend will help it move along.

Today's outfit is:

Tunic - Target
Leggings - Liz Lange for Target
Cami - Topshop
Shoes - American Eagle

The shop is slowly starting to fill up with beautiful, bright Spring styles. But, the weather is just still no where near. So, I decided, this morning, to buy some beautiful flowers to cheer me and the shop up. I just LOVE orange and pink together!!

It was my half day yesterday and I was so glad of an afternoon to myself. I managed to snap a quick outfit picture in the morning, but ran out of time to post.

Everything about this outfit says casual and comfy. I slept a little better the night before (but not much) and my head was still sore. Also I had things that I wanted to get done in the house and really did not want to have to change.

Thursday's outfit was:

Jeans - H&M
T-shirt - BlendShe
Cardigan - Zara
Shoes - American Eagle

My motivation for today is....... ZERO!!!

I did not sleep well last night and I did not drink enough water yesterday and I am really suffering today. I am so tired I could cry and my head is throbbing (mixture of being over tired and dehydrated).

So, when I took my picture (about 2 minutes ago) I smiled a lot when I realised that it was actually pretty good for a change.

This dress is just great - although it is sleeveless it is very warm as it is knitted jersey and it is lined. I have tried it with a few different cardigans now and I have to say that this is by far my favorite.

But, then this could be my favorite cardigan!! Whatever will I do when it decides that enough is enough and it is washed out and misshapen?? I really do not want to think about that right now, I will deal with that when the time comes.

I have a pretty rough week ahead. There is lots going on at work and at home, so unfortunately I am counting down until Sunday!

We went to Ikea last night and managed to pick up some fabric for curtains for the babies room!! It was a long day and I was very tired (and I am still today) but I am so happy that I have finally managed to find what I was looking for.

What with this week going to be a rough one I decided to go for a comfy outfit paired with my favorite scarf (seriously, the best item I have ever bought from eBay) and my fabby orange tights. I feel so like me today in this outfit!!

It is a day where I have said "I can not believe it" A LOT!!!

I can not believe that I am working a Monday - that was hard this morning. It is amazing how quickly you get out the way of something.
I can not believe that it is February already. Wow - that means I have....... Oh you know........ 13 and a half weeks until my due date! So much to do and so little time!
I can not believe how much I love these tunic/top/dresses that came into stock last week. They are gorgeous, soft, stretchy lycra and they fit over my bump! YAY, normal clothes!!
I can not believe how bad all of the pictures I took today were!!!

I wish I had a fabulous pair of red flat boots to wear with this look. Mental note I am going to keep an eye out for some!

Today's outfit is:

Stripe Tunic - Vila @ i am.....
Leggings - Primark
Cardigan - Vila
Necklace/earrings - Forever 21
