I really tried to have an early night last night, but it just did not happen. So, today I feel even more tired than I did yesterday. This evening I plan to get the house as organised as I can before little Miss O goes to bed and then try and catch up with the ironing after she is in bed. Rock "n" roll huh??

As boring as that may be, it needs done. I made a deal with myself that this year I was going to try and be more organised. We are 2 weeks into the new year and I am still in as much of a muddle as ever.

Pretty much all of today's look comes from Forever 21. I am looking forward to visiting again in March. But it will be a very much more reserved shopping trip this time as funds are having to go elsewhere.

Wow life has been hitting us hard lately and blogging has just not been on my mind. But I am back and I hope to stay back. I need to keep motivated with my clothing and my diet in the coming months as I am going to be on a strict budget (no more buying clothes) and I want to stay this size without having to start paying for Weight Watchers again.

So far 2012 is going well for us but he have had more than our fair share of colds and tummy bugs. This on top of working 3 days a week, running a cloth nappy store from home, looking after an energetic toddler and keeping a home is proving tough going. But I am not going to moan about is as what we have is just fabulous.

We are on the count down to a fabulous 2 week holiday in the sun, a big birthday (my mums) and a new baby (my sister is due her first baby in early April). 2012 is going to be a good fun year.

Today is it cold and damp, I will be honest I wanted to wear skinny jeans, Ugg boot and a super snuggly cardigan....... But I resisted. I love this dress as it is structured enough to look smart, yet is super comfy to wear and really quite cosy. The flats were a bargain in Primark before Christmas and I have worn them so, so much.

Back to work for me today. It is an odd one as I am happy to be back to it and getting things done but I am missing spending time with my family. On Christmas Eve N, Miss O and myself were all in the local post office (I am there everyday Monday to Friday and N is in for me on a Saturday) and the owner commented that it was the first time she had EVER seen us all together as a family. We have had this same set up since April! This made me really quite sad - as it highlighted that we have so little time as a family.

However, we have had a lovely few days together and Christmas has been wonderful. We also have a few days just us again next week and I am very much looking forward to it.

It is pretty miserable and stormy here today so I decided cosy was the order of the day. My sister got me this cardigan for Christmas and I love it. However, next time I think I will pair it with a more colourful look.

Saturday 10.12. - A night out!!

As I am self employed I do not have works Christmas party, so for all that we have lots on in December I do not have the worry of finding a Christmas party dress or outfit.

However, this year my good friend turned 30 and decided to have a festive night out and dinner to celebrate. As this was my only dressy night out I did not want to go too over the top, but I wanted to look festive and dressed up.

The sequin blazer came into stock a few weeks before we went on holiday and I took one to wear over a black jumpsuit to a family wedding. I knew that I wanted to wear it again during the festive season, so it was the first part of my night out look.

While we were away the dress was delivered to the shop stocks and I loved how it was comfortable and casual jersey with the cute lace detail. Having just spent 10 days in the sunshine I decided to be brave and go with bare legs.

All in all I really like the look and will wear it again.

As it was so long ago I have very little to say about this look.

Well other than I love the skirt. I had noticed it in Primark in the autumn and liked it, however, I did not like it enough to pay the price tag (it was not a huge amount of money but....). Anyway I was in town with my mum and Miss O the day before and this was on a clearance rack for £1.00!! Yep just £1.00 - it was the only one so I grabbed it and bought it ( I did not try it on as it was only £1.00). I am really pleased with it and have a few ideas in mind of other ways to wear it soon.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

I will start off with a picture of my gorgeous girlie in her costume! It is an Easter chick costume, but she thinks that she is a duck!! She ran around at her playgroup party shouting "duck, duck". It was very cute!!

3 weeks today and I shall be on my merry way to Orlando with my family for 13 days!! Yippee! I can not wait. The difference in Miss O since we were last there is huge and I just know that she is going to have a ball. With the holiday looming I am having a huge clear out of clothes that do not get worn - on eBay - in the hope that I can create space (before Christmas) and to try and up the spending money fund!!

This dress is in the sell pile! However, last night when I was taking pictures of the items to be listed I thought I would give this one more chance! It is still going! I just do not love it enough!! I am going to launder it this week and make sure that I goes to someone that will give it more wear!

Saturday was another "meh" kind of a day! They are just not the kind of busy days that they used to be around here. I am hoping that it is just the calm before the Christmas storm! Anyway, I wasted time watching things on the Internet and planning my Christmas cake baking and crafts that Miss O and I are going to have a go at. However, this week I shook my mood off before I went home.

I love this top and I like to wear it. But since losing weight it has become too big and it now does not sit as well as it did. I think it may be a piece that I am going to have to get rid of.

I am feeling very 60's today!!

I love this sweater dress, but I fear that it may just be too short for me?! Then there are the boots, I had forgotten all about these. In the last 2 years with me being pregnant then having a new baby/new body I over looked lots of things that I had loved before. Now that I have lost weight and I am fully back into the working routine I am re-discovering things again! It is good as they feel like new clothes.

I thought that these boots were uncomfortable, but so far they are quite the opposite. I hope to give them lots of wear this winter!

My hours in the shop are all set to change over the coming weeks. My dad has recently retired and very kindly looks after Miss O one day a week. He has decided to take himself off to Orlando for a month so I am down a days childcare!! With a lot of favours and switching about I think it is all sorted out.

I got this skirt in March and I have not worn it as much as I thought that I would. I love it, the colours the pattern and the fit. I am really glad that I tried it with these boots as I think I will wear it more as a winter piece now!!

The boots are practically vintage!!! I may be exaggerating very slightly there!! I bought these boots in 2005 from Aldo and they are like new! They have never needed re-heeled or soled and the leather is still beautiful with almost no scuffs! I have a pair of much newer leather boots that have dried out at lot.

I love this outfit. This fabulous gold, jersey, wrap cardigan came into the shop a few weeks ago. They have not been a huge hit so far as they hang terribly on the hanger! I often find that styles that look awful hanging make people unable to picture how they could look!

I have quite a few other outfits planned for this cardigan and I will certainly be wearing it like this again!!

Saturday was a very "meh" day and I was in a very "meh" mood and got very little done - hence posting Saturday's outfit now.......
My mood continued into the evening and made me feel like I had wasted a bit of family time!! Not good!

Sunday was fabulous, we had friends round for lunch (I made sweet potato and chilli soup and homemade bread) and we then went for a walk to a local park with a duck pond and fed the ducks. Afterwards we stopped at the tearoom for coffee and cake to heat us all up!

This waistcoat/dress/tunic has been in my eBay pile for longer than I care to admit. I saw it this morning and decided to give it one last wear - well see if I like it enough to bring it out of the pile. I have to say that I am unsure. I do not dislike it but it now is a little too big for me and I just do not think that it is me anymore.

So, it is 5 weeks until we are heading off on holiday to Orlando and I really need to list a huge amount of things on eBay to get some funds together. I just can not seem to motivate myself to actually get this done. Wish me luck for this evening - N is working late so I need to spend an hour just doing it!

Date Night!

N and I had a date night last night and it was great!

Little Miss O stays with my parents on a Monday night as I work on a Tuesday, so we decided that us going out on a Monday in no way affects her routine. We decided to go to Glasgow for the evening, get some dinner and have a few drinks. It was a lovely night and we both felt great for just having a few hours of just being us (not Mummy & Daddy).

Happy weekend everyone!!

I was out on a girls night out last night and it was great fun, but I am so sleepy today. I thought that jeans a tee and a jacket were the way to go today. I am happy with the outfit but I do wish that I had taken a little more time with my make up. I feel a bit washed out!!

I did not think to take a picture of my outfit from last night - rookie mistake. I must try harder. We have a family birthday tomorrow afternoon, so I will try and make sure that I get pictures before we head out.

Yesterday I realised a few things...

I have been wearing a lot of stripes lately.
I had not shown you guys my fabulous printed leggings.
I really wanted to wear my wedge shoe boots.

So, with all of the above in mind......Today we have no stripes, I am showing you my fabulous leggings and I am wearing the wedge shoe boots. I really wanted to wear the shoe boots and the leggings together, but in typical "me" style I did not plan my outfit in advance. I had little time this morning (thanks to Miss O and her wanting to play for an hour from 3.28am) and the entire look is not one that I am sure that I would go with again, but I do not hate it!

My pictures today are OK - I would even go as far as to say that I am kind of happy with them. I decided to snap a picture of my jacket as I almost never show my outerwear. I love this coat it is from the Blend spring collection and I have never been so happy for something to be damaged (this had a watermark/stain on the front - nothing a few washes and plenty of sun could not fix) as it meant that I actually got one when they were selling like hot cakes!

Back to work today - why do weekends away always go in so fast??

I had not planned an outfit for today in advance and I had very little time to get ready as Miss O slept late and I had a pre-work dental appointment. So I went for my new go-to, easy yet smart look! This for me is almost always skinny jeans, chiffon blouse and flat shoes. With a necklace thrown in for good measure!

As you can see I am still very much getting used to the tripod and self timer on the camera (hello picture of me adjusting my tops). I received comments from bloggers that I love and look up to (Allie and Fi) last week regarding the new pics and how they liked that they can now see the shop. I thought that I would move my position a bit this morning to show off some more. But, I am not that happy with these so not sure that I will be standing there again!!

We were away for a few days visiting family in Liverpool and this is what I wore to do some shopping before we had a 4 hour drive home - sorry that the picture is not the best.

We had a fabulous time but just wish that we could have had a bit longer to see family for longer and to actually do some sightseeing. The weather was not the best and we were all very aware of making good time home to make sure that a certain little miss was in her own bed at a good time. We had a few hours of wandering around the city centre and visiting plenty of shops. As always Miss O was a very lucky girl and is not the owner of a fabulous pink faux fur coat!!

I took this dress from the shop last week with this trip in mind and I am so glad that I did. I felt so smart yet able to chase Miss O around without worry of exposing myself. And I have to say I do love the red flats with it!!

I do not normally post outfits when I am not at work, but in the inerests of trying to keep up my blogging mojo I asked N to snap a picture of me last night.

Half way through the week already! This is good news as I do not have to work again until next Tuesday!! YIPPEE!!

I am rather impatiently waiting on a few items arriving from various places around the world (I have found the eBay love again recently). Seriously why does the shipping part of the process have to take so long. The most boring of all the items that I have bought is the only one that has arrived! It is an Orla Kiely water bottle (I can not even wear it) I bought it as I do not drink enough water at work and buying bottled water is just a plain waste!! So I shall wait for my more fabulous items and hopefully be able to show them off next week!!

Day 2 of using the self timer and tripod! Eh, not much improvement, but at least the pictures on the whole look better as they are not taken in the mirror!

I think that better pictures might make me want to make more effort with my blogging - so here you have it!! No more pictures in the mirror. Now I know that these pictures are a long way from good. But I think that they are better. I was just having a play about with the camera settings and the tripod - I will get better and I will move around the shop a bit too!!

I only have 2 days to work this week - today and tomorrow. I am rather excited as the tail end of the week I get to spend with my girlie going to all the little groups that we go to and then I have Saturday off for a family day!! Sunday we are going to Liverpool to stay with family for a short break! It is just going to be a flying visit but I am quite excited about it.

The boots that I have on today I have not worn in more than a year. I had forgotten just how beautiful they are. They are the most gorgeous soft, buttery leather and they have a patent toe and heel. I think I will have them forever.

I am actually posting the outfit that I have on, on the day that I am wearing it. I have to say that I am rather impressed with myself for remembering to bring the camera, take my picture and post. Now I just need to try and stay on my roll!

When I was pregnant I had a bit of a hormonal clear out. I eBayed so many clothes and used the money for nice things when we were on holiday, and nice things for the baby. I did not think about the pieces I just found them, thought when am I going to fit/wear that again?? I now regularly go to wear something and find it gone.

This morning I came across these trousers and thought I had sold them!! I am rather glad that I did not. They are so comfortable and I love the menswear look that they have.

Back to work today and feeling very tired after a busy few days and a sleepless night last night!
As I was feeling a bit bleuch when I got up, I decided that it was a day for a new Autumn style that came into the shop last week.

I love the loose floaty nature of the tunic and I am in love with the rich colour. I think that it works very well with the black leggings. And the wedges are just perfect - it was clearly meant to all be worn together!

I hope that you all have fabulous plans for the weekend?

We have no plans for this evening (which is so welcome after being up from 3am-5am). It will be a walk with the dog, bath the baby, bed the baby down and chill on the sofa for an hour before heading to bed for an early night!!

Sunday we are heading to our friends BBQ (think it could be one of the last this Summer). They have a boy the same age as Miss O so it will be a late afternoon/early evening type thing. I am looking forward to it.

This t-shirt was one of those - it is so cheap I can not buy it - purchases!! I saw it on the clearance rack in Target in March and it was down to $2. My thinking at the time was it will do under clothes come the winter!
About 2 days after purchasing the t-shirt I saw this skirt in Forever 21 and I knew that I had been meant to buy the t-shirt!!

I love this outfit, but for some reason I seem to over look the it. I feel great when I wear it. I must move it to the front of the wardrobe to remind me to wear it again soon - before it is tights weather!!!

It started out pretty miserable here so I opted for leggings with this dress as I had a few errands to run before work. It has since dried up and got slightly brighter!! However, I do like this look with the wet look/animal print leggings!!

The dress that I have on today is part of the Autumn collection from Blend. We have this style coming into stock (soon hopefully). My agent very kindly let me have this (the sample) a few months ago.

After a busy weekend which included a quick trip to Manchester (4 hours drive away) and a tummy bug........
I am in work today and not feeling my best. I kind of think that my outfit reflects that a bit. It is basic, it is smart but it is safe and easy.

I love star prints and when I saw Anne Hathaway on the cover of Marie Claire wearing a star print top it reminded me that I too have a star print top. I like this top, but I know that I would like it more if it was a tad looser at the hem and did not have the ruffles.

In work I have been neglecting the i am..... online store. I kind of got to that stage in the season where I was ready for the sale and I just seemed to loose the love for the site. Also around this time we launched www.babybotbums.co.uk which sells cloth nappies and other baby items and I have been caught up in tweeting and facebooking to promote this.

However, I have spent the morning photographing the latest styles to be delivered in store here and they will be getting added to www.iamboutique.net this week. I will also be back tweeting from the @iamboutique account too.

These dresses arrived in the shop when I was working the day before and as soon as I saw this gorgeous olive/khaki shade I knew that one was going home with me.

This dress is so comfortable to wear and I felt so smart in it. I do not think I will get much chance to wear it bare legged as our summer seems to be in hiding. But I will be packing it for our trip to Orlando in November. I think it will look rather cute with gold flip flops and an across the body bag.

Happy weekend!!

We have nice but kind of busy weekend planned. I am working today, then we have very little planned for tonight. I am thinking nice dinner and then either movie or TV catch up!!
Sunday we have the usual family stuff of food shopping in the morning (I shall be stocking up on ingredients to make a yummy all day breakfast omelet - it is our new favourite brunch) then in the afternoon we are taking part in a fundraising walk. Little Miss O has a cousin that is battling Neuroblastoma - so we are taking part to raise funds and awareness!

Orange is hands down the colour that I love the most! My sister gave me this top for my birthday and I love it. I love how bright pink and orange look together. I do also love the over sized vest over a pair of skinny jeans! To me they are just perfect to wear to work on a sticky Saturday!

Oh dear it appears that it has been a month since I last posted. I truly am sorry. I do not mean to be such a slack blogger, I honestly do not. But life is just so busy at the moment.

I have been lusting after a pair of brightly coloured trousers for a few weeks now and I got them yesterday when I was on a girlie shopping day with Miss O, my mum and my two sisters. I managed to get exactly what I have been looking for in Primark ( perfect price to pay for something that may not be worn for too long).

I used to have the most fabulous pair of bright orange jeans from Benetton - oh how I regret binning them!! I am sure that they would not have fitted me now anyway - if they had I am sure the style would have been way off for me now!

It is Saturday and it is gorgeous and sunny! It looks like it is set to be the same again tomorrow - which will be great as Sunday is the only day in the week that we get to spend together as a family!

I think we shall spend the day potting up some plants in the garden and having a picnic lunch on the beach! Little miss O is at the beach most days (it is where we walk the dog) but she has never actually played in the sand!

We are off to a BBQ with N's family this evening and we are going to have another with my parents tomorrow! All in all it should be a fabulous weekend!

It is starting to look like Summer around here - at last! It is so nice to be able to wear skirts or dresses without tights!
It is also so nice to be able to have Miss O in her summer clothes at long last. Little Miss O turned 14 months old this week - I can not believe it! She is growing so quickly and time is just hurtling along - it will be Christmas before we know it!!

I do not really have much to say about today's outfit other than I love it! I love to wear browns and often pick them over black! The skirt is fun, yet I feel smart enough for work. It is also so light and cool!

I was rushing, I saw this tunic and remembered that I had not worn it for a while. I forgot how badly it creased when you sit in it!!

Yep - I come back post for a few weeks then I go away again......

I am back - to be honest I have not been anywhere and nothing has been wrong. I have still been taking outfit pictures. Unfortunately work has gotten in the way of me posting and home is way to busy to blog!

Since I have been MIA, and taking outfit pictures, I have turned 30!! And got a fabulous pink netbook just for me for blogging, surfing and working (catching up on soaps). It is fabulous and I love it - so much easier to carry around with me as most of my handbags are big enough that I can just chuck it in!

But with the new netbook I am afraid there is slight issue! All of the outfit pictures that I have been going on about - they are on the laptop!! So you are going to have to take my word for it - I looked great!

Sorry for the lack of posting around here lately - I have no new excuses just busy with 2 businesses and a one year old child! But I am back and I have outfit pictures that I took last week - so I was not really away for that long at all!!

I stayed the same weight as the week before, I was informed at my Weight Watcher weigh in! Now I am always happy to not gain weight but I thought that I might of lost something. I have been better this past week, back to weighing out food for portion control and tracking what I eat! I have been using the i phone app for this and I have to say that I do like just how accurate it is!

Well the last day of May has been a mixed one weather wise! I am hoping that June is going to bring some milder and brighter days - I need to ditch boots, coats and winter clothing. I am so ready to wear my summer clothes!

It is a Bank Holiday here again today! The schools are all off and pretty much everyone has a day off work - unless they work in retail!!

It is a gorgeous bright sunny day here so far and there are plenty of day trippers out and about! For me it has been a morning of dressing gorgeous little baby bumps - it is really very nice helping pregnant ladies find something that is stylish, comfortable and feels somewhat like them!!

I do not usually work a Monday, things were a bit rushed this morning and I ended up in a much more casual outfit that I had planned in my head! But it has worked out well for the kind of things I have been getting done today.

I have a question for you all! Do you carry a make-up/cosmetics bag around in your handbag? If you do what do you carry - everything or just the touch up essentials?

The reason I ask is, I do carry a make-up bag. It is small and crammed full of varous lip glosses, balms, paracetamol, perfume and bronzer/blusher and brush! This today has broken and made a huge mess. I am going to have to clear out later and I think I am going to re-organise things a bit!

I did not get a chance to post while at work on Saturday as I was kept busy (working) and my Internet connection was not staying connected very well!! I hate when technology can not just do what you need it to!

I am in love with these trousers - they are such a gorgeous lightweight cotton, they are the perfect length (on me) and they sit in just the comfiest place! I love that they are brown and not black too - I seem to pick brown over black and as the years go on I see that black drains me!

Our weekend ended up being pretty quiet which was lovely. Miss O was lovely and chilled - she is much more contented just playing and exploring our home now that she is on the move. I managed to make a start on the major clear out of our spare rooms! It is so nice to have the room now looking at lot less like a jumble sale and exactly like a bedroom! I now have a HUGE pile of stuff to list on eBay, if I have no luck there I will then be making the trip to the charity shop!

Happy Friday everyone!!

I do not really get that Friday feeling, as I have worked Saturdays pretty much all my adult life! But I do love that a Friday means that N is home for the weekend and that he and O have daddy and daughter time while I work. And then we all have Sunday to have family fun!

Tomorrow it is my two sisters birthdays, so tonight we are going to one of their houses for dinner and a few drinks. It will be an early one for us though as we do not want O too much out of her routine and I am in the shop all day tomorrow! Saturday night we have no plans, but I think I may make something nice for dinner, chill a bottle of wine and watch a movie with N. Sunday - right now I have no idea what our plans are, but I know that we will have to do some food shopping and there will be a nice long walk with the dog too!

Thursday is a bit of a funny day for me at the moment. I have to be in work to let staff away at 2.15pm! It is not so bad as I only have to work for a few hours, but it really messes up my day and childcare for such a short time is proving to be a bit of a nightmare! Today I had to bring Miss O in with me until N could get away from work to collect her! I am hoping that it is a short term thing - and if it is not Papi (my dad) retires in the summer and has said that he will help out a day a week.

The weather is not as miserable, as it has been, today - but it really is not sandal weather yet! Ballet flats with bare feet I can cope with!! Sunshine please, please come back!

I had my Weight Watchers meeting yesterday morning and I had lost another 1lb. I am really pleased with this and it has spurred me back into doing things right! I was starting to cheat a wee bit. I re-stocked the fridge/treat cupboard with WW Toffee bars! They are small, but they are only 2 pro points and they do feel like a real chocolatey treat!!

Wow - what a rough few days we have had weather wise!! We have been getting battered with gale force winds and almost constant rain! We are used to high winds, but not at this time of the year and with the trees being in full leaf there is quite a lot of local damage!
The temperature has plumetted and we have had to have the heating back on in the evenings for little Miss O! As well as the heating I have had to dig out yet more boots - I so thought I had seen the last of them until October!!

I took these trousers from the shop back before I started on Weight Watchers. I loved the style, the fit and how much more confortable than jeans that they were. I have since removed 12.5 lbs off my body and I am not loving these quite as much. I took this picture after being in work for an hour, so the trousers had been on for just over 2 hours! They look so baggy! Not good! There are now non of these left in the smaller size which is rather annoying! I suppose I should be thankful that they are not too tight!!

I got a hair cut yesterday..... Back to the crop style that I had for ages. I think I made the decision a bit too quickly. Now looking back I kind of liked the longer, fuller style. I do remember that I did not like the straightening and lots of products. And I love that it took all of a minute for me to dry my hair this morning! I am sure this time next week I will not a have an issue - but sorry if I go on about it until then.

It is wet and miserable here today. I am bored! It would appear that people do not like to shop in the rain - especially for summer clothes when it has turned cool again!

I am so ready to wear my gorgeous summer skirts and dresses - but the weather is just not there yet. So, the tights are still a must!!

I love the bright colour on this skirt - it pretty much goes with whatever you pair it with. I have to be honest and tell you all that I had forgotten all about these gorgeous sandals. I have a collection of shoes in the store room at the shop. I used to walk to work in my trainers or fit flops and change into my heels when I got here.
With me being pregnant and then last year just not wearing heels, I had totally forgotten all about these and a few others! It is now like having new shoes!!

Oh dear!! I did not realise that it had been so long since I last blogged! How bad of me! I am sorry that I have not been around (I have not even really been commenting) life has been so busy lately! Before I went off on holiday, I had staff issues and since returning I have been working more! When I am in work I am busy working, so that I do not have to work at home when I with Orla.

But I am going to try and make this a more regular thing - I miss it!!

Today is a good day! I have not had these jeans on for more than a year! Last year they did not fit and I was not wearing heels at all and part of the year before I was pregnant! I had forgotten how comfortable they are and how great they look with wedges! This top also feels like it is new - it has just not been worn for ages!

It has been a funny old day in the shop today! I was all organised and took my picture early on. I then got on with my bits and bobs that I had to tidy up before being off for 11 days. A few hours ago I started to blog and I have been busy ever since (not complaining as I do love a busy day).

Half way through the week already! I do like it when the week before a holiday goes quickly - however I have not even started to look out what we need to take with us! Oh well it will get done, even if it is the usual mad dash at the last minute!

I had my Weight Watchers weigh in this morning and I am happy to report that I am another 1lb lighter! That is 8.5lbs in total so far. I have decided that I am not going to not track what I eat when we are away but I am having what I want in moderation. I do not want to be sitting in a steak restaurant eating a salad. But I will not be eating pastries for breakfast. I will not be snacking on crisps and dips, or chocolate either I need to keep up with my water drinking and fruit eating (even just for the sake of my ever improving skin).
I spoke to the leader and let her know that I would not be about next week as I am away but I did ask if it would be OK to switch to the evening meeting the following week, as that is day we return and I want to know where I am as soon as possible.

It was a horrid day here yesterday - it snowed (yucky wet snow) for about 4 hours. Thankfully none of it stuck. It was such a dull dark day that I had zero motivation and before I knew where I was it was time to get home to the baby and I had not blogged!

I must of been in a pretty awful mood yesterday what with getting nothing done and being dressed from head to toe in grey!! I have to say that I LOVE grey. I find that it is so much more flattering, on me, than black. I also needed the winter woolie poncho as it was so cold all day!

I totally forgot to post last week (and one day did not even take a picture) it was just one of those weeks!

I have been feeling that I have been reaching for my jeans a lot lately so I decided to put on one of my favorite skirts! I love the pattern, the zip and the pockets (I am a sucker for pockets). This is the second time that I have paired it with this cute cream cardigan and I like the way that the cardigan just lifts the pattern and stops the whole look from being too dark.

Wednesday is my weigh in day and on Wednesday there I lost 1.5lbs taking me to 7.5lbs off in 3 weeks! I am so pleased with myself, as by this point in any other diet I am either disappointed with the number lost or cheating already.

I am not sure about anyone else but I find that when I am on a diet all I want to do is bake and make lovely things! In the last 2 weeks I have made tablet and chocolate brownies and this week I am making a double chocolate fudge cake for my mums birthday dinner!

A catch up.......

It has been a while since I have blogged and I thought I would do a quick catch up post.

This last week has been a hard one. Everyone in my family (and extended family) is all good and well. But work and other stuff are not so good. We have had horrid wet weather for the first time in ages and it always really slows things down in the shop. I have also had some problems with new styles being slow on getting to me (but we seem to be getting that sorted out now). Then last week one of the girls that helps me out in the shop announced that she was leaving! That is fine and I know that people move on but her timing is lousy as she finishes 3 days before we head off on holiday for 10 days! But I think I have pretty much got things sorted out for while I am away and I will deal with the everything else when we get back.
On the same day that this happened we got a HUGE gas bill in and N got a tax bill! It never rains but it pours!!

My weight watcher journey is so far going well. I have never felt so positive about any diet that I have done. I have used Weight Watchers before but never with the success that I have had so far. Tomorrow (Wednesday) will be my fourth weigh in and I am excited to see what the scales show. I set myself a mini target for going on holiday and this week will show whether I have achieved it.
So far I have lost 7.5lbs and I am very pleased with this! If you are considering trying Weight Wathcers Pro Points I would recommend it - it really does not feel like I am restricitng myself in what I eat. And as a household we are so much healthier already!

We are off on holiday for 10 days this weekend and I am so excited. I have had enough of the cold damp weather and I am ready for some warmth and sunshine! N and I have both been working a lot and often are still working on the website at midnight only for him to be back up for work at 5am. We are both ready for some chill out time and lots of time with little Miss O!

I am going to really make the effort to take outfit pictures while we are away and blog on my return. I have never managed to do this yet and I am keen to do it this time.

Wow - March already!? This year is whizzing past. Baby O is 10 months today, it will be her first birthday in no time at all. I just can not believe that!

I was out yesterday buying Autumn/Winter stock for the shop. I am so excited as the styles are just amazing and I know that I will be very excited when it comes time to sell them.

My mum came along to sit with O while I did the buying and then we went shopping and for a bit of lunch. It was lovely and I even treated myself to the top that I have on today and a gorgeous pair of nude flat sandals - that I can not wait to wear. However, I will wait as it is not even Spring yet! We saw a man yesterday in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops!!?? It was a sunny (not warm) day in February -Come on!!

Today started out sunny and Spring like, but it turned grey pretty quickly! I have had a pretty quiet day, but I have managed to get lots of small jobs done - so a good productive day!

It is a lovely sunny day here today and it looks like Spring is just around the corner! I can not wait for the weather to get a bit milder - not hot just warmer so that I can pack away boots and think about wearing my little ballet flats without socks!

I usually wear this knitted dress with leggings, but I fancied pairing it with coloured tights today. I like the look but I think that it is maybe just a little bit short for the tights!?
The scarf that I have on today is quickly becoming one of my go to! It just matches everything!

We have very little planned this weekend. I finish at 5pm so we will head out a walk with the dog before it gets too cold for O. N and I will then catch up with some TV - we are behind on Boardwalk Empire and I want to get caught up! Sunday I think N has to work in the morning so I will get the food shopping done and then we may take O swimming after lunch. Nothing spectacular just fun family stuff!

Wednesday got away from me. It was a bitty stop start kind of a day! There were a few deliveries in the shop that I had to get sorted and before I knew where I was it was time to go home, feed O, make the dinner, walk the dog etc!!!

Wednesday's big news (well for me) was I managed to lose 4lb at this weeks weigh in! I am so happy with this fantastic loss and great start to my weight loss journey! I have a few days this week where I have been tempted to have a less healthy choice, but the thought of my good loss (and my holiday) have kept me in check!

Phew! I am managing to post this on the day that I am wearing it! Finally!!

I got this jumper as a gift for Christmas and I love it! The pockets make (an otherwise boring, plain) grey jumper so pretty and special! It is a shorter length but that is OK as I am a lover of layering!

I started back at Weight Watchers on Wednesday - I was not going to mention it here but thought that I would as you lovely readers and bloggers inspire me and keep me going when I find things tough and I know that at some point I will need that on this journey.

I was very lucky throughout my pregnancy and I did not gain very much weight at all - I carried a lot of fluid, but that all went when Orla was born and feeding was established. Then the feeding stopped but the eating continued, and then winter hit and the walking was not everyday as it had been. Then Christmas came and before I knew it my jeans were snug and lots of things were just not sitting quite right.

I have tried to lose weight on my own but I always fail. Well this year I have heard so many good things about the new Weight Watchers Pro Points plan - and how it is not at all faddy - that I thought I would get myself back along to a meeting.

So I did and I have had almost a week of doing the Pro Points plan. So far I am liking it. I have not yet felt like I am on a diet, I have been out for a family lunch, I have had a scone or biscuit at night with a cup of tea, I have enjoyed a Vanilla latte with a friend and I had a vodka and diet coke with N on Saturday night.
Weigh in is tomorrow before work. I promise to let you know how I get on!

I apologise for the late posting lately! It is not happening through laziness it just seems that with only working 3 days a week I have so much to deal with when I am here that blogging gets missed! I think I may have to look at blogging from home sometimes........ This is something that I have never done and to me it seems strange! I have no idea why??

The blouse that I have on has been in stock for a little while now and I have always liked it and thought that it would slip into my wardrobe very well. But with only working the few days now I do not feel that I can treat myself quite as often as I used to.

However, a week ago a customer tried this on and got make-up in the front of the top (aarrgghh). So I thought to myself instead of taking money off this item (if anyone is interested in a top that has make-up on it) I am going to take it home and wear it! I have magical laundry potions for such stains.

I am so glad that I did as I am really very happy with how this look turned out!

A new week and new work outfits needed!!

I had forgotten all about this tunic. I got it when we were in Orlando in November - I paid $5.39 for it from a clearance rail. At the time my mum asked what I would wear it with and I just shrugged!! It was pennies - I spend more going for a takeaway coffee!!

However, seeing back in the pictures (which are not great) today I am glad that I did take this. I love the colour and I really like the shape! Oh and it has pockets - I do love when skirts, dresses etc have pockets!!

I hope that everyone that buys into Valentines Day had a lovely day yesterday? N and I do not do much for it - we never have! This year was lovely we bought the M&S meal deal, had a bottle of Cava, watched Boardwalk Empire and went to bed early for a full nights sleep (Orla was with my parents). It was perfect! No chance to post on Saturday either - it was a busy afternoon and I was not online much!

I have been so tired lately and my skin is suffering from a "teenage" thing!! My hair is at an in between stage -I am kind of growing it! And I have been feeling generally sluggish. I am trying to drink more water as I know how good it is for my skin and hair - but I find it hard to do all the time!

Wow - I really fell behind with posting last week! But as promised I did take pictures of what I was wearing so here we go!

A night last week I started to have a wardrobe clear out/dig out some bits that I want to pack for our hand luggage only trip in a few weeks! I came across these shorts and instantly thought of pairing them with brown tights! I loved how the look turned out! But then I love anything that I can pair with orange (the best of all the colours) and my beloved cardigan!!

The wardrobe clear out did not go so well - it is very much a work in progress! I do not like to be too ruthless as I always look for an item after it has been binned/donated/eBayed. But the things that I keep just in case, I always seem to overlook! I think it is known as "Sods Law".

I had a slightly different outfit planned for to day, but when I put it together is was not quite right! I then remembered about my trusty leopard print cardigan and thought "Ah ha" and the day was saved!
Next time I wear this I think I may try my brown, heeled, knee high boots with it as I think they could work well with this look! I did not have time to dig them out from under the bed this morning!

I have been feeling a bit blah lately what with a poorly baby, lack of sleep, it being January, it being cold and wet etc - you get the picture!! But last night I decided that enough was enough and I gave myself a face scrub (deep clean) and mask and a mini pedi!! What a difference those two little things made. I feel a bit brighter and like my skin (although still being a bit teenage) is better! So this evening I am going to apply a bit of tan - I love the way that my skin is in Summer, so I am going to re-create it!

Thank goodness that January is over!!

However, February so far SUCKS!!!
This last week has been my toughest week as a mummy. Orla has a diarrhoea and vomiting bug and it has been hard going! We are very lucky that she is (normally) a healthy little baby. She was not sicky as a newborn so this has come as a huge shock to us! She has been a poor little thing and very clingy and today is first that I have been out in almost a week - I was almost running out the door this morning.

The washing machine and I have been in talks and as of Monday we are both going in strike! I have a new respect for my washing machine (that I regularly mock/bash/slag off etc for being old and not the fancy one that I would like) it has coped so well with the constant washing and nothing has been left stained - not even nappies!!

Anyway, enough of that. This is the first day that I have worked this week due to Little Miss being sick, I am tired and I am un-inspired but a deal is a deal so here I am. I am so glad that I am sticking to my deal. So, you have to excuse the hair, make up and general casual look!

I am in an awful mood today - I have had a rough few days and a clingy baby and sick puppy have not helped matters. It took me a while to get around to taking some pictures today and the ones that I have are not great - so I am sorry. However, a few hours ago I was not going to post as I was such a grump. But I made a deal (with myself) that I would blog when at work so here I am.

I am very sorry that I have the same trousers on again today. I love them very much and it is so nice to have a casual trouser that is not jeans. But I know that seeing them same things when I am only posting a few times a week is boring! I will try and do better!

We are all set to have a quiet weekend, no plans this evening other than watching "The Time Travellers Wife" and perhaps having a glass of wine. Not much planned for Sunday either, some food shopping as usual but not much else. Well I do have a craft project that I would like to get started but we shall see.

Today is Burns Night today (does not make a lot of sense but hey) and I am wearing a tartan blouse and it was not even meant!! I am wearing this blouse as I finally got to the bottom of my ironing basket at the weekend and this baby was in there! This was one of the difficult items that has not seen the light of day for about 2 years!! THE SHAME!!

I have to say that I am loving this look today! I just love how it all sort of came together without me having to try! The trousers are so fabulous and comfy and they are such a nice change from jeans! The blouse - well it is like it is new it has been so long since I wore it! After my bust start to the week I have had 3 lovely days at home with my girl. It has been lovely we have not used the car we have pretty much stayed around the house other than to walk the dog. And yesterday we met some friends and had a walk, coffee and a baby play date.

Back to the grind today, it has been a funny day today. The weather is very damp and foggy, so there have not been lots and lots of people about, but it has still been a quick day. This morning was spent picturing and listing new styles to the site.

First of all I want to apologise for the quality of the pictures on the blog at the moment. I am by no way a good photographer and I working with pretty bad light in the shop at the moment. I am however, not letting this put me off my blogging!

I am in the shop for a few hours this morning and then I am off to collect a birthday cake from the bakers and go home and get the house ready for a 30th birthday party (I mean drinks - I have been told it has not be like a kids party).

I went for comfort today as I have lots to do and do not plan on getting changed until the party. I love this jumper but I am not too sure about it with the grey leggings - I think it may be a bit too much grey! These leggings are the most comfortable pair that I have ever owned and they are fabulous quality. I got them in Banana Republic after Thanksgiving for $10.

Happy 30th Birthday to my other half, N!

It is a bit rubbish that I have to work today, but so does he so it is not such a big deal! I am taking him out for some dinner after work, I baked red velvet cupcakes last night and I have a bottle of champagne in the fridge for when O is in bed. So we should have a lovely evening!!

The trousers that I have on today came into stock yesterday! As soon as I opened the box I knew that I was taking a pair home with me. I spent a fair bit of the day yesterday planning how I was going to wear them.

They are very like the J Brand Skinny Cargo's that retail at £245!! The ones that we have in stock are by Vila and they retail at £40 - much more wallet friendly!! They are available in two colours here.
I already have another idea of how to wear these next week. And I can not wait to pair them with a cute pair of flat gladiator sandals in the Spring.

I did not get around to posting yesterday as it turned into one of those days. But it was one of those nice days! Three different friends popped in to say Hi and then my mum brought O and the dog in and I took O to the baby clinic to be weighed (it is just around the corner from the shop which is very handy).

I got this skirt in the summer sales to wear to a Christening, but this is the first time that I have paired with tights and a cardigan and I have to say the I did like the look!
The skirt is a nice shape, it has a zip right up the front which I think is a nice look and it has the most comfortable elastic waistband!!

The dress that I have on today is one of the newer styles that we have in i am..... It is a style that I look at as being season less or an in between piece. I love items like this as I can wear something underneath or a cardigan over for warmth.

I just adore the shape of this dress and even without the tights, boots and scarf I felt dressed as it just seemed to work so well. I especially love the skirt!

I had no Internet in the shop yesterday so I could not post my outfit pictures - and there is no time to do such things at home.

I got the inspiration for this outfit while I was reading a copy of Marie Claire. I was scanning the Hot Trends for 2011 section when I noticed that they made a mention to Ditsy Florals. I have had this dress since we were in Orlando in November but had yet to wear it. So while having a soak in the bath this outfit came to me and I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

On another note - this dress was a bargain. It was in the clearance section for $7.50 and there was then another 30% off the entire store. You have to love after Thanksgiving sales!!

Happy New Year to you all! I hope that things have started out well for everyone and that 2011 brings you all that you wish for.

As I mentioned before I am going to make myself blog on the days that I am in work - so here we are! First day back at work and first blog post of 2011.

The festive break has been lovely, we as a family have spent lots of time together doing all kinds of fun stuff. But, it was so nice to get up this morning and get back into some sense of routine. I was really unsure of what outfits to get back to blogging with..... but now I have lots of ideas and I am looking forward to the coming working days!

This outfit is a pretty new one and I love it! The hat, shorts, cardigan and boots were all bought when we were in Orlando in November. The shorts are super comfy yet I feel very smart wearing them. I have been wanting a nice pair of smart grey boots for a while that are flat and these for me are perfect. The cardigan well I feel that it needs no explaining, it is not black and that is all that matters to me! The hat!! Well the hat I saw in Target and tried it on and danced around in front of Orla and she giggled and laughed, my mum then came around the corner and said how nice the hat was. I looked in the mirror and agreed, so in the trolley it went!

Well I said last week that I was going to make sure that I posted on the days that I was in work - so here it is! Not really an outfit that I love, but I was not going to use that excuse again!!

I dressed for warmth today! It is bitterly cold here today and the shop heating has been off since Friday afternoon - so I went with what would keep me from freezing! I can already see that making more of an effort to post is going to drag me out of this casual (meh) slump that I am in!

I wore a very cute little outfit on Christmas day (but got no pics) and I really felt like me!! I am going to re-create it for you guys to see soon! I also got some beautiful clothes for Christmas, so that makes me excited about trying out new looks that work with being a mum too!

I know that many of you are still stopping by as lately I have been getting comments saying that it has been a long time since I posted etc. I am so sorry, life has kind of just got in the way lately and wardrobe choices have been a bit meh!!

I am currently sitting in work FREEZING and wearing a truly un-blog worthy outfit. I had lots to do this morning before opening and I have things to get after a I finish, so warm and snow safe won it! I posted a while back about not feeling like I was me any longer - well I think I am slowly finding my way back.

I am going to try and post a few times each week starting in the new year. I will post each day that I am in work (I think I am going to be working a bit more come the new year) and I will post when my OH is about to take a picture. We do not have great full length mirrors at home!

I miss my blog and I miss the love that you guys send me across cyberspace! I also promise that I am going to catch up with all of your blogs. Man I have a busy time ahead.

I think it is now winter!! I could not get warm at all yesterday - so last night after we have stocked up at the supermarket, I made a huge pot of sweet potato and chilli soup!

The weather is also another reason that I have on what I so today. The shop is very hard to heat and with the door opening and closing there is always a chill in the air.

I did not get much wear out of this polo neck last year due to pregnancy and this year I am loving it. It has a lovely silky feel to it and it works well under other clothing. And as the poncho/jumper it is just cosy and comfy!

BAD PICTURES!!!

But hey - I am here! That is something!!

In work two days in a row, but all for the good of my little family. By working today I can have Saturday off to be with the best two people in the world (and a very cute dog). As a family we have a Sunday together but I have managed to work out a way of getting one Saturday a month off so that we can get two family days! Just means that I work a Wednesday instead!

It is a bit of a muddle as we have no childcare on a Wednesday. So today my lovely BF got up at 4am and went to work until 9am. He then came home and looked after Orla to let me come to work. My sister (who was working night shift last night) has come over to our house to let BF go into work until 5.30pm. I will be home by 5pm to let her away to her bed!

It is wet and miserable here today and the wind that is blowing is a rather chilly one (it is just as well that we have a fabulous range of hats, scarves and gloves now online) so I decided it was a day for a jumper!

I am very sorry that I have been MIA - it has been one of those months. I have been putting very little thought into what I have been wearing lately and I have fallen into the mummy wardrobe category! There is nothing wrong with it (it is not yoga pants and a hoodie) but it is so not me! I have been feeling a bit crappy about it (and my teenage skin and bad hair) so therefore have not blogged which in return makes me take even less care over what I am wearing! It is a vicious circle I tell you!

We have started to send O to my mums on a Monday night to stay over. We do this for many reasons like, I work on a Tuesday and my mum is our childcare, we want O to be comfortable with staying other places (I never really was as a child) and we wanted some "us" time where we are not mum and dad for just a little while.

So far it is going really well and O is staying with no problems, my mum loves having her and we are enjoying a night off. So far we have not done anything other than get organised, share a bottle of wine and watch a movie but this is lovely.

However, I now find Tuesday really stressful! I get up prepare something for dinner that can cook all day in the slow cooker or something that is ready in 15 mins. This is because I have started a Zumba class at 6.30pm on a Tuesday. I love it, it is so much fun and I can feel it working me out! But I am not back in the house until 7.45pm just in time to give O her bottle and put her to bed (having not seen her all day). Then we have a late dinner, I shower and then we get ready for the next day!

Anyway, enough of the moaning about a situation that I choose to be in!!

These fabulous leggings came into the shop last week and I took a pair home with me. I then thought that I had nothing to wear them with. But I was wrong!!

These boots are like new boots, I did not wear them at all last winter as I did not wear heels when I was pregnant. I am loving all the new (but not new) clothes that I have!!

I often find that people are super quick to complain when things are bad or not quite as they expected. They then feel the need to go around telling everyone about the terrible time that they had. Yet you rarely hear people spread the word when they have had nice or good service.

I had an excellent customer service experience yesterday and I thought that I should share.

When we were heading on holiday I decided to take a look around the duty free at the airport and I found myself at the Benefit counter. I have used one or two of the products (lip glosses mainly) but my sister uses almost everything that they sell and raves about them. I was browsing thinking that a new blusher would be a nice treat, when the assistant came over and asked if she could help. I said that I was just looking as I had not really used the products, she asked if I would like her to put some of the products on for me.

It was 6.30am and I had nothing on my face, so I said yes. She put various products on and told me all about them etc. She used "Some Kind-a Gorgeous" a foundation faker and it felt amazing on my skin as she applied it and for the remainder of the day!

The following morning I had a large spot on my chin - I thought that a day of flying and not drinking enough water was to blame and thought nothing of it!
Since coming home I have used the product on the days that I am in work and each time the following day I have a large spot on my chin!

So yesterday I went to my local Benefit counter and explained my situation. The girl was fabulous and apologised for the inconvenience that I was experiencing and she suggested that I try "You Rebel". She applied it and sent me off with a new tube in place of my "Some Kind-a Gorgeous".

I have used the product this morning and it feels great (and smells beautiful) and I hope that this works out OK for me. I really just wanted to let you all know about my good customer service experience with Benefit!

New clothes, new clothes!!!

These are the first clothes that I have taken from the shop for AGES!!! Well I was rather pregnant and then not working for a while. But last week I decided that I had been good for far too long and some jeans and a sweater made their way home with me!

The jeans are super skinny (I had to put them on like tights!!) and they are marketed as bum lifting jeans! The pockets are shaped and positioned to give a nice round and lifted look!
I have to say I like the effect and although the jeans are very skinny, they are very comfortable!

As for the sweater, well it is just so cute - and it goes very well with my new wedge shoe boots!! Need I say more?

Wow - I have been a really slack blogger lately! I have had a lot going on...... We were on holiday, then as of last week I now work 2 days a week (not much I know but a big change for me and baby O) and I have been planning O's christening - which was on Sunday!

It was a fantastic day - the rain stayed away - and our home was filled with our family and friends. My mum and I catered a hot buffet lunch (chili, chicken curry, lasagna, macaroni, baked potatoes, rice, salad) we served Cava for a few hours (then set up a bar - think buckets full of ice with beer, wine etc - in the garage) ate cake and had a great day!

Baby O was beautiful and such a good girl in church. She was great all day and only got a bit grumpy as she did not get her usual 2 hour nap!

So, today it is back to work for me. I did not really have any idea of what I wanted to wear today, so I dug through the drawers and found this tunic. I love the gold jersey fabric and the shape of the tunic. I feel comfortable and put together, but I think that I am going to try this look again with my new wedge shoe boots and lots of necklaces!

Well the holiday is over and I am back to work! Why do holidays go so fast??

We had a fantastic time, Orla was a star on all of the flights and slept most of the time, the weather was mixed but always very warm (which was not always the best with Orla) the shopping was OK but not as good as I had hoped (little miss need nothing until about 12 months) the food was great but way too much as always.

So, as always after holidays we are home to frugal and healthy eating. We are seriously needing to replenish the savings so frugal is the way for us at the moment. And healthy is good too!

I really wanted to wear a dress today as it is warm and sunny, but I have a huge dry cleaning pile and an even huge-er (yes huge-er) ironing pile. So this dress was one of my only options. I do like it, but I think I like it more with tights than bare legs!

This outfit would look so much better with heels, but I could just not do it......

I bought this little tunic in a sale a few weeks after Orla was born and I have loved it every time that I have worn it. It is very comfy, easy to wash, quick to dry, needs no ironing or accessorising and most of all I always feel pulled together when I have it on. I do love pieces like this!

My work day is almost over and then it is home to get packed for our trip to Florida. I am so looking forward to a week of sunshine and shopping. I am going to make an effort to take some outfit posts while we are away, but I can not promise anything!

Saturday again - is it just me or is anyone scared that it is August already!! Where has this year gone??

Last night I decided that time has come for me to start wearing heels again! What with the pregnancy swelling at the start of the year and my love of flip flops, of late, it has been a while and all of my lovely shoes are feeling neglected! (They told me so).

So, heels it is today and what better way to wear them than with one of my all time favourite dresses! This is the perfect dress in so many ways, the shape, the length, the subtle pleats at the neckline, the print and they way that it makes me look slimmer! LOVE, LOVE, LOVE!!!

Excuse the bad picture - cutting the top of my head off is not a good look! But my hair needs cut again, so I thought I would just go with it!

I did not post at the weekend as I was not in the shop. We were off on our first family holiday - 2 nights away in Aberfoyle, near Loch Lomond!

I was fabulous. We did nothing, and I mean nothing. We spent almost no money (you have to love when that happens) as we were staying in a family timeshare property and we took my parents along with us....... Honestly, we bought all of the supplies before we went and other than a few nice long walks around the loch we just chilled, ate and drank!

Aberfoyle is in a beautiful part of the world and it is only 2 hours drive from our doorstep. On the drive there it rained, but as we were unloading the car it stopped and stayed off for the entire time that we were there.

While there my BF and I chatted about what we are planning for the shop, for him and I and for us as a family. I think that we have managed to put some plans in place - for the shop especially.

Anyway, I just thought I would post, as we chatted about how I miss blogging but just can not seem to find the time! I leave you with the picture of the view from our balcony!!

I am not sure of blazers, I love them on others but never too sure of them on myself!! However I do like this one - A LOT! My sister gave me a loan of it when Orla was born as I was in a funny clothing place and she suggested that I put a blazer over my loose tops - well she is now not getting this back!!

The blazer is heavy jersey and just so comfortable. I love the short sleeve length, the one button and length of it on my body! The only issue I have is my bf calling it my "Miami Vice" jacket!! He thinks that he is funny!!

Our weather has had a turn to the miserable over the last few days, so I thought that I would play it safe and wear jeans and full shoes today (I hate walking home and getting wet feet).

My week has been great, but pretty uneventful and the next few are shaping up to be more of the same! We are off to Florida at the end of August, so I really need to try and spend as little as possible between now and then. We shall see how that goes - I can not seem to go anywhere without buying Orla a little something these days!!

Another day in the shop for me today. So far today has been so much fun, I have spent the morning having a good look through the new styles that have arrived this week and catching up with people that I have not seen in a while. However, I am missing spending time with my family - it is tough now that we only have a Sunday as a whole family unit!

I honestly can not believe that I was so late to the maxi dress party!! I only gave them a go this time last year, before that I just did not think that they were my kind of thing. Oh how wrong I was!! This summer they have been my go to, I feel that I look smart in them, yet they are super comfy!

I'M BACK!!!!!

Well for today I am! Due to things that were not planned for I am having to ease myself into work a little earlier than I had hoped - so I should be starting to post again (on Saturdays). I have to say that I am liking being in work and I am loving the chance to blog again! Also, I have only this morning realised how much I have missed make up!!

Baby Orla is now 8 weeks old and full of gorgeous smiles - I can not describe how much I love and adore her. I LOVE my time with her so much.

Since I have last blogged lots has been going on, but the biggest day was my sisters wedding last week! I was a bridesmaid for the first time and it was fabulous! The shoes and the dress were AMAZING! Baby Orla was the star of the show (even the bride said so) and was perfect in the church, during the meal and speeches and was a perfect little poser for the photographer!

Baby Orla arrived on Thursday 29th April at 21.55 weighing in at 6lb 4.5oz.

She is the most beautiful little girl that we have ever seen and so far she is being very kind to mummy and daddy and letting us get an hour or two sleep each night!

For the moment I so very happy getting to know Orla and learning how to be the best mummy that I can be but I do hope to post from time to time. But it will only be when I am not in yoga pants and my hair is washed!!

Spring is........

.... Well in our house it depends who you ask!!

Ask me and I will tell you that Spring is getting 3 loads of laundry (including bedding) dried on the washing lines. This to me is fabulous, I hate to dry washing inside or in the drier. There is nothing nicer than bedding that has been out on the line all day. Also the clothes etc are all so much easier to iron when they have been outside.

However, if you ask 11 month old puppy Bista, she will tell you that Spring is all about sleeping in the sun on the deck! On Saturday night after I got back from work she was sitting in a square of sunshine, on the back steps, with her face up to the sun/heat! So cute that I had to get a quick pic!

I have not gone anywhere and I have no news to share. I have simply lost the will to post pictures of myself in maternity clothing (the same 5 outfits to be exact). With 30 days left until the due date of the baby I have well and truly hit the wall.

I am very lucky in that I am still feeling very well, I am still out walking with the dog most days, I am still at work 4 days a week, I am still sleeping well most nights and all midwife appointments etc are showing that all is well. But, the baby is growing rapidly now and I am becoming uncomfortable. Also I have very swollen hands and feet (and some days face - nice) and that is just something that does not need to be photographed each day.

I am still from time to time taking pictures of what I am wearing, but I am working less and outfits are the same - so I really do not feel like posting them. I managed so long to make my own clothes work for me that I count myself as lucky. I can not imagine having felt like this earlier on!!

I am planning on finishing up with work in the next 2 or 3 weeks, but I still do not have an exact date in mind. I am not sure how much posting I will do in that time, but I will do my best to keep you all up to date with things. When I do finish up I am planning on taking at least 12 weeks off (no less than that, but hopefully quite a bit longer). I do hope to keep blogging on quite a regular basis - but I have never blogged from home so it is going to take a bit of getting used to with locations etc.

I am still lurking out there reading blogs too, but mainly I am not commenting as I am so jealous of the lovely fitted, belted and varied outfits (I will not even get started on the shoes) that you are all wearing. I am scared that I say something green eyed and not nice - its hormonal and I do not mean it!

Back to work for me today after a lovely weekend. The weather on Saturday and Sunday was beautiful - perfect for walking along the beach (with only a hoodie - no coat) with the puppy and for drying washing outside!

Yesterday I caught up with a friend, had a snooze on the sofa walked the puppy, did a little housework and then went off to ante-natal classes in the evening. It was a rather a nice day!

Today, I have so many jobs on my to-do list and I have lost the motivation to get them done! It was so lovely again early this morning, but it has gone all dull now and it is affecting my mood! I think I will have an early lunch and give myself a shake.

Today is my mums birthday. We are all out for dinner as soon as I finish up at work and then my bf and I are dropping my parents at the airport as they are off to Orlando for a week. Oh, how I wish it was me!

It has been a beautiful day here today - a perfect Spring day - dry, sunny and mild. It is so nice to see people out and about wandering along the street and looking at all that our little town has to offer. I hope that there are lots more of these to come!

Yesterday was quite a long day. I was out and about buying new stock for the shop. Now today I feel tired! I am still suffering with a cold and cough which is not helping.

I went casual today for the fact that I am tired and because my mum and sisters were all out shopping the other day and they bought me this t-shirt! I think it is pretty cute! It was very well received as I had just been saying that I need some tops to get me through the next few weeks.
