Saturday 18.04.

Last day of work for 11 days!!! I am so excited I am almost jumping up and down on the spot!

I did not intend to wear the same colours 2 days in a row, it has just happened that way! This dress has only been in stock for a few weeks and it has been a popular style, it also comes in Navy blue and a pale lavender colour! Spring is definitely here when little dresses are selling so quickly! People are ready for bare arms and legs!

I am heading straight home at 5pm to have a quick dinner, change and get out to another friends wedding reception at 7pm! Then tomorrow is the day that the bags get packed and we hopefully have a quiet day before heading to the Bahamas on Monday morning!

Friday 17.04.

I had such a busy day on Friday that I ran out of time to post!

The morning started out a little slowly, so I decided to rearrange and re-merchandise the shop! It never fails that when you start a big job like this (all of the clothes off the rails and laying in various piles on the floor) that it gets busy and customers all want to browse.
I managed to get the job done and the shop looks good. I have had no new styles for about 2 weeks and I think this is a way of making it look there are new styles in!

I had not worn this tunic for a while and like how simple the outfit looked.

Thursday 16.04.

It has been a busy day so far. I had a rep in with a new jewellery collection this morning and since he left it has been non stop. I really do have to point out that this is not a complaint, I love being busy and I love it even more when someone leaves my shop happy with their purchase and swinging my lovely turquoise bag! But, 3pm is a bit late for me to have lunch! Thankfully my tummy is once again full!

I only wore these shoes a few times last summer as I bought them late on in the sales - I wish I had worn them more as my feet are very sore today!! Also my trousers are catching in the sling back of the wedge!!

Wednesday 15.04.

I fancied a nice bright POP of colour this morning so that is what I have!

I really love wearing these pieces together, but the dress and tights are clinging to each other and it is really annoying me!

After work I have to do a few errands as I can not so them on late night shopping on Thursday as I am getting my waxing all done for going away, then Friday night I am helping the bride to be with some last minute jobs and Saturday night we have another friends wedding reception. It is going to be holiday time before I know it!

Tuesday 14.04.

I have been out at an appointment all morning, it ran on longer than I thought it would I and now feel very disorganised after rushing to get back to the shop.
I have a really stressy/butterflies in my tummy feeling today and it is putting me on edge. I think it is due to having so much to get done in the next week before taking time off! Thankfully the dressmaker returned my dress for the wedding and it is perfect - I can not wait to wear it!

I usually walk with my friend on a Tuesday night but we are not this evening so I am going to use the time to get all of my holiday clothes laid out in the spare room so that on Sunday afternoon all I have to do is pack them!

Monday 13.04.

Bank holiday chic it is not........ But it is bank holiday casual!!

And casual is just how I feel today, so casual that I have Birkenstocks on my feet! I am in full on holiday countdown mode and work is just something that I am going to have to endure for the next 6 days!
I hope to be able to head home at around 4pm this afternoon (although I would love it just as much if I was so busy that I had to stay open).

The new famous Forever t-shirts came into stock last week and I just had to have this one with Oscar from Sesame Street and the words "Lets go green" on it - I thought that it was very apt as I have been doing a lot in the garden over the weekend!

Easter Weekend.

What a lovely weekend I have had - even though I was only off on Sunday! I thought I would share what I got up to!

On Saturday I was in work as usual, but it was a lovely bright spring day so it did not feel like a chore.
Before work on Saturday morning I was cleaning the shower after using and I slipped while getting into the cubicle and gave myself a nasty bang to the leg! I then stupidly wore wedge shoes and then stood for 7 hours - so Saturday evening was quiet. I made us some yummy chicken fajitas for dinner and we then lay along the sofa (me reading my book and my bf watching the football highlights). We then had a nice early night and a very restful sleep!

Sunday was a fantastic day! We woke early and walked (1.5miles each way) to the supermarket for the groceries for the week ahead, we then had breakfast together before I cleaned up the kitchen and my bf mowed the grass. It was then time for a quick shower and change for us both before we headed out to my bf's mum's house for Easter lunch with all of his family.
It was such a beautiful afternoon that we all sat outside eating.

The rest of the afternoon was spent spending time with my bf's family and playing in the sum with his young nephews.
After lunch we headed home to make the most of the beautiful day and get some jobs done in the garden. We managed to get some carrots and leeks planted in our veg patch - fingers crossed we get to eat what we grow! we moved a blackberry bush to a new position and we put the tomato and courgette plants (that I have grown from seed) into the greenhouse. We are also having a go at growing lettuce, rocket & marigolds!

The weekend was topped off my 2 of our very good friends coming to stay. We had a glass of wine the garden before heading out for a light dinner and a few drinks.
It was a lovely (very busy) day!

Saturday 11.04.

It is a nice and sunny Saturday here - and I would rather be in my garden or walking along the beach.......
But I am here for another hour or so!

We are having a quiet night in tonight before having a family Easter lunch with all of my bf's family at his mum's house tomorrow afternoon. We are then having friends to stay on Sunday night! It will be a busy, busy day but a very nice day!

Friday 10.04.

Good Friday - I have to say that I am not feeling it!! It is dark and grey, it keeps raining on and off and I am working while the rest of the world has a day off! Yeah maybe a slight over reaction but it feels like everyone but me is at home today!

My Spring sale night went well, it could have been a little busier, but I am happy with the results for a few extra hours work. Got a few new customers from it and got lots more names for my mailing list - so future events should be busier and better!

I really felt like wearing a nice "pretty" dress this morning and this one fits the bill pretty perfectly (well I think). I really love these shoes but really tend to only wear them with this outfit - I need to work on using them more!

Thursday 09.04.

At this moment in time I should be doing a million other things - but I am blogging!!

I am having a Spring Sale tonight and I still have so much to do. I have a sale rail to set up, glasses to organise, I have to hoover the carpet and I need to touch up my make up! Thankfully the Champagne has been chilling over night - I like to treat my customers as they browse my stock!

I have had my flats on all day as I have been running up and down the stairs all day - but I am changing into my fabulous heels just shortly.

Wednesday 08.04.

What a day I have had - I have not stopped since I got up at 7.30am this morning! I have been un-packing orders, taking picture of new styles for facebook and website, I have been dealing with customers, accounts and suppliers! Not that I am complaining as I do love a busy day!

I am no further forward with my parking situation but I am a lot further forward with another project which is very exciting and is kind of snowballing!! I will give you guys more info as soon as I have some definite specifics!

Tuesday 07.04.

I had a lovely afternoon off with my bf yesterday - we went for lunch and we then went for a drive along the coast and a nice big long walk. I ended up being in bed asleep for 9pm last night!

It is just as well as today has been a bit of a battle. I had an early appointment before work (which meant lots of rushing around) and I feel like I have been on the phone battling with people all day!

There is a huge problem with parking in the area round my shop - there is not a huge amount of spaces that are free and they are 90% of the time taken up by staff from other businesses. Myself and a few others have decided that enough is enough and that we are going to try and do something about it. I have been on the phone to the council, the police and the traffic wardens office and I am no further forward. But I have found out that this bothers more people than I thought it did. Lets hope that this gets sorted out soon as I am losing sales!

Monday 06.04.

Monday again - but for me it is not so bad as I am only in half day. My bf is meeting me at 1pm and he is taking me for lunch and we are then going to spend a lazy Monday afternoon together. If it stays dry I think we may head down the coast a bit - but that is a big IF!

I was not really feeling like getting really dressed up for work this morning but I did not want to just pull jeans and a casual top, so I came to a bit of a compromise and chose black jeans and a pretty chiffon top with ruffles and stars!

I am glad that I am having this afternoon off as the rest of the week is going to be a bit hectic. I have a "Spring Sale Night" on this Thursday and I also have some changes afoot (fingers crossed - I will explain when things are secured).
I also hope to have my posting back to normal this week, sorry for the few missed posts over the last week or so.

Friday 03.04.

Thought I would go for a casual but bright look for today - I also have been waiting on an excuse to wear these wedge sandals! Thank goodness I did before we head off on holiday. They are (so far) seriously uncomfortable! They were listed on eBay as only having been worn once and when they arrived the wear on the sole etc confirms this - so I am hoping that after I have worn them at work a few times I will get used to them!

So, this afternoon is the big dress fitting and I am leaving the shop for an hour or so! This has proved to be a nightmare for me as everyone that usually helps me out has other plans. So at this moment in time my bf is taking over from me - I am a little worried as this is just not his thing!

We are having friends over this evening for a bit of dinner and a few drinks. It is just going to be casual dinner, so I have prepared things that weather permitting can be cooked on the BBQ - I know it is super early for cooking and eating outside, but we never get to use our outdoor area and it is such a shame! I will let you know if we were successful or not!

Thursady 02.04.

I have been so stressed out with some stuff that has been going on around here lately that I have ended up with a very nasty migraine! I am just not quite feeling like myself and I am struggling with the bright sunlight that is shining in my window (honestly, I am not complaining about the sun!).

Tomorrow I have quite a bit of running around to do, so I thought I would have a nice dress on as tomorrow I will be in Jeans. It is the final dress fitting of the Bahama Bride and I am going along to try and get to grips with getting her into the dress!

I have never taken the cloth belt off of this dress before, but this morning I thought I would try and mix it up a bit! I love this belt and I am really happy with how it looks with this dress! I am going to spend some time trawling eBay for some belts as I actually do not have that many and I am loving them at the moment!

I am sorry for not posting yesterday! It was not a good day and I ended up not even having the time to take my outfit photo!

Monday 30.03.

March is almost over - I can not believe how quickly this month has gone!

It is only 3 weeks today until we head out to the Bahamas - I am so, so excited! I ordered the last of our sun creams last night and I got the toiletries organised yesterday. I am now going to try and iron one outfit for each of us per night (I hate ironing so I think that spreading it out may help me actually get it done). Other than that all that is left to organise is the currency, but we are going to hold off until nearer the time as the exchange rate is so bad at the moment!

The clocks went forward on Sunday and I really struggled to get motivated this morning. I was kind of expecting to feel that way so I picked out a basic outfit for today. But once I was dressed I felt that it was just a bit too blah - I added my bright Coach scarf at my neck and I feel much brighter!

Saturday 28.03.

I am afraid I have no outfit picture today. My bf is off on a Stag Weekend to Edinburgh and he has taken BOTH of our cameras! I am not sure why he needs 2 - but I am sure I will find out when he returns on Sunday night!

Last night went very well, around 300 people attended the fashion show and I did not see too many faces that I recognised, so I am hoping that I will get some new customers from it!
The outfits went down very well, the girls all looked fab in the bright dresses etc that I picked out. And so far today I have sold a dress and clutch bag that one of the girls was wearing!

As I am alone tonight (and this has been a busy week) I have decided that I am going to go home and get my chores done as quickly as I can, after everything is all neat and tidy I am going to treat myself to a Chinese take-away I think I will then watch a film on the sofa!

I have decided to have a go at getting my tomatoes and rocket started tomorrow - I am quite excited about the thought of being able to eat what I grow! I then have to head into town to get the bits and bobs that we need for our holiday. There is not too much on the list so fingers crossed I manage to get it all in one go!

Friday 27.03.

Yes I have decided to be brave and start losing the tights and leggings. I had my first go with the self tanner last night and I am pretty pleased with the glow that I have (but I think I will put another layer on tonight to make my legs a bit darker!)

These cute little dresses came into stock this week and I took one home there and then. I love the little bird print, the length and it has the nicest little sleeve - I am looking forward to not having to wear the cardigan over it!

Tonight is the charity fashion show that I am taking part in (well I am showing 10 outfits from the shop) and I am a little nervous. There is nothing more that I can do know other than turn up and watch the show. Please all keep your fingers crossed that it goes without any hitches!

Thursday 26.03.

I am feeling so much better today - much more like me! I spent some time last night just pampering myself and relaxing (relaxing = trawling eBay looking for some nice light, full skirts to brighten up my wardrobe) I then slept better than I have for a while. I have even been and stocked up on some self tanner. I am going to be ready for spring and all of the lovely light clothes that I want to wear as soon as it arrives!

I really love wearing this dress - I always feel so smart and dressed in it. Which is funny as when they came into stock (last Spring) I thought that I had made a huge mistake in ordering them, but they flew out of the shop - everyone loved them.

Wednesday 25.03.

I am not having the best of days today and I am feeling a bit sorry for myself. I hate when I get like this as it makes me feel even worse. After typing this I am going to go and give myself a good shake - I really hope it works.

I am still not really feeling what I have in my wardrobe at the moment - I know that the weather is not helping things. We are having really nice bright days but it is still so cold. This is making me want to wear Spring-like clothes but it pretty hard to layer with some of them for warmth.

I have not worn this dress for a while and saw it when I was putting some clothes away at the weekend. I have to say that it is great to use as a smart but comfy piece, but it is not warm enough for now. It will be going away again for another few weeks.

Tuesday 24.03.

I decided to go for comfort this morning as I new I had a busy day ahead of me - and I was not wrong. I have had 3 boxes of new styles delivered which I have checked, priced and displayed. I have changed my window display, so that anyone passing by knows that I have new styles in stock. And after I type this I have 2 models coming into the shop to be fitted for outfits for a charity fashion show that is taking place on Friday night.
I will be very glad to get home tonight to have a bath and relax on the sofa!
