I do not want to get into the depressing topic that is the "Credit Crunch" but I have been getting back into making things! I used to be very crafty (making things - not sly) but a few years ago lots of things were going on and I lost interest.
I have been talking with family recently and some of us have decided to not give each and every one of us Christmas gifts (on my bf's side we are keeping it to parents and the kids). I still like the feeling of giving gifts so I have decided to make what I give. I have been thinking about it and it will mainly be nice Christmassy cookies and cakes! But I have also decided to make our Christmas cards this year.
I feel that it will save a bit of money and make them that bit more special (to me anyway). I sourced all the bits that I wanted from eBay and have made a start. I have to say that I am very happy with the results so far!
What do you think??
I still have to add the raised "Merry Christmas" banners and stamp the inside greetings.

I'm trying to make most if not all of my Christmas gifts this year. The cards look great! (Christmas is so close, isn't it??)
Those cards are so cute. My family and I have decided to cut back on Christmas as well this year. While we are still fortunate to all have jobs and money to pay our bills in times like these it kind of knocks your priorities back in line. The holidays are about spending time with friends and family and showing how much you care for them - not who buys the best gifts!
Kimberly - great point well made!!
I have not managed to get anymore cards done over the past 2 nights and I am very excited about doing some craft tonight!
