I have to apologise for being such a bad blogger this week! Work and life have just got in the way! It has been one of those weeks where I feel like I have not had a minute!

But I am back and here is what I was wearing on Wednesday and Thursday.

Tuesday 27.10.

I did not get a chance to post yesterday - it was one of those days that just runs away with you! I had the morning off but I got up at my usual time (Bista does not get that days off mean a lie in) I nipped into to town to run a few errands and I picked up this cardigan. Afterwards I did some laundry and other chores before heading off for a swim. When I got home I realised that I had very little time to eat and change - hence the plain Jane outfit!

However, I do love how well this cardigan works with an all black look! I had not worn this necklace for a while and I think, although it does not match (not something that ever bothers me), it looks fab with this look!

Monday 26.10.

I had a lovely weekend (well day off) and today I feel really quite relaxed. On Saturday night the weather was terrible so after walking the dog, my bf and I ate dinner on the sofa while watching Strictly Come Dancing, I then had a quick (but relaxing) bath and we then watched the X-Factor! I loved the outfit that Cheryl Cole was wearing on Saturday night, but really was not sure about what she had on last night!!

Today has been a bit of a funny one. It was lovely this morning - crisp and bright but this afternoon has been so dark and grey. The rain has stayed away which is something. I have to say that I am not looking forward to walking home in the dark this evening now that the clocks have gone back!!

Saturday 24.10.

Saturday again! I am looking forward to a whole lot of doing nothing this evening and other than food shopping tomorrow a whole lot more of nothing! Well other than a walk with the puppy and maybe popping out for some coffee and cake!

Friday 23.10.

First of all I need to point a few things out today!!

1. It is Friday - YAY!!
2. I really need to get my other brown boots to the shoe repair man - I am going to wear these out.
3. Denim leggings (or "Jeggings" - hate that made up name) - never thought I would be the girl to wear them, but it looks like I am !!

Every time I go to see one of my supplier he tries to make me order a box of denim leggings - I ALWAYS say no! I know my customers and I know that I would be left with more than half a box of denim leggings.

So, last time I went to see him he was trying his hardest to get me to take them again. When he offered to give me a pair of the samples free of charge to wear in the shop and see it anyone comments on them. I have had them for ages and not worn them. This morning I had no idea what to wear when I remembered I had these and this woolly tunic that I almost never wear.

I have to say that I am not sure about them. They are leggings, but not as comfy as leggings - I am still not sold on them! However, I do like the denim with this plain tunic! This has to be one of my all time favorite scarves - it goes with almost everything.

Thursday 22.10.

I loved this skirt and cardigan all summer when wearing without tights, but in the back of my mind I always thought that it would be a great outfit with the addition on purple tights! I am glad to say that I am not disappointed with how this looks!

I could not find my usual purple and yellow scarf this morning (I think it is in a handbag) but I have to say that I do like this little Coach number with this look! Also in the past I have added my yellow bow belt, but this morning I felt that it was not needed.



I must keep in mind that I have these fabulous shoe boots in grey as well as black - I go to the black ones quite often. These are still like new because they get worn so little! I am not usually one for shoes and bag to be matching, but when I got these shoe boots out this morning I could not help but think that I would be nice to have a nice grey bag in buttery soft leather!

Wednesday 21.10.

My fabulous mum gave me the day off yesterday and I had a stinking migraine headache!! YUCK!!
So, Bista and I got the duvet and snuggled and slept on the sofa all afternoon - it was bliss (well kind of - the migraine part was not bliss.....).

I feel a bit kind of lost with my sense of style at the moment for a few reasons - one of those being that I have really not taken anything new from the shop for a while and I am not finding my wardrobe very interesting!

I truly love this dress and I love seeing other bloggers put sweaters or cardigans over dresses to make a skirt and top look! I kind of thought that I would give this a go with this dress. I have to say that I am just not sure about this look! I do not love it but I do not hate it either!!!!

Monday 19.10.

Monday again?? How did that happen??

After a very busy and outdoorsy Sunday I really struggled pulling myself out of bed this morning. Taking the dog out for her walk and getting soaked did not help matters! As well as the rain the wind has a real chill to it.

So, a scarf was a must as was a comfy Monday outfit. Black skinnies I feel always fit the, comfy yet work smart, bill! I quickly decided on a monochrome look with a black t-shirt and my lovely French Connection cardigan!

Saturday 17.10.

Saturday again and not too long until it is time to head home! We are off out for dinner with friends tonight and I am looking forward to it! I am going home to have a nice long bath before I decide what I am going to wear!

Thought I would add some tights to a nice bright spring summer dress and I have to say that I think it looks great! I love the way that the bright pink pops against the black. I did not plan on wearing these shoes today but in my rush I could not find the ones that I wanted to wear. I must try and organise!!!!

Friday 16.10.

I apologise for being a bit of a bad blogger of late - things have just been getting in the way.
As I mentioned my days off were all messed up this week (and I think they maybe for some time) so I had my half day on Friday.

Our weather is gradually getting cooler so I thought it was time to break out the knee socks to add another layer to my outfits! I really like the way that this outfit turned out, I feel that it is comfy and cosy yet still quite smart. I must get these boots into the shoe repair man. I slipped 3 times on my walk to work. I wore these so much last winter that I have worn the rubber (non-slip) part away.

Wednesday 14.10.

It is the middle of the week and I for one am happy about that! I have a day off tomorrow and I have to say that I am even happier about that!

I decided to go for something nice and bright and breezy today after not loving my look yesterday! I am happy to say that this has worked for me - I love this skirt and I do like the way the pink vest top clashes just a little with the colours in the skirt!

Tuesday 13.10.

This outfit looked way better in my head - but once I had it on and realised that I was not that keen on it I did not have enough time to change!
I think it is the leggings that are annoying me. Next time I am going to try it with brown tights and my other brown boots (that I must get to the shoe repair man).

I am just about to shoot off to visit the bf's brand new nephew - he was born last night! It is baby fever around here at the moment!

Monday 12.10.

Monday has been my day off for a while but I had to work today at short notice. It is lovely and autumnal (crisp and bright - perfect) outside so I decided to go with comfy, cosy layers!

I have not worn this cardigan for a while (I had kind of forgotten about it) and it turns out the reason for that is it was at the very bottom of the ironing mountain! All is well in the world again now that I have conquered it!

Friday 09.10.

My plan this morning was to wear this dress but wear a jumper or buttoned cardigan over it and make it look like a skirt and top! However, I could not find my stretchy black belt and it just did not look right without it! So instead you get the winter look of this dress!
I love this dress so much - I get compliments whenever I wear it and people still want me to try and get them one!

I am going home this evening to get as much of my cleaning etc done so that my weekend is free for chilling on the sofa under a duvet with my bf watching 80's movies - we may venture out to a new Deli/coffee shop in town.

I thought I would leave you all with a picture of Bista at the start of the week. She has a love of old shoes - this was one of my dog walking trainers, but she has chewed this one something terrible and the other she has in the garden!! So there is no way that is going back on my foot!!

Thursday 08.10.

It has been a funny old week so far - mainly because my days off of work have been the wrong way around!

The weather is definitely cooler now which I like (but only for a week or so, not the 4 months that we have ahead). Tights are still a bit of a novelty (I know that will not last). I do not wear these brown tights enough I love the simple pattern on them, I am going to try and wear them more over the coming months!



I wore this outfit for the first time in the spring of this year and I still like it as much now! I really do like the un expected colour of the scarf/belt with the leopard print and denim.

Monday 05.10.

I did not sleep well last night - I woke with a fright around 4am and then had a very active mind for an hour or so. I really could not think of anything worse than getting up this morning when the alarm went off. Hence the very comfy casual outfit for today!

I have kind of surprised myself with how I have jumped from bare legs (trying to hold onto summer) to tights and polo necks!! But it is just so exciting finding all the winter goodies (it kind of feels like new clothes).

I have nothing much planned for this evening and that is a rather nice feeling. I will pop round and visit my friend and the baby on my way home from work and then after dinner I have to try and catch up on my ironing mountain (it stopped being a pile some time ago).

Saturday 03.10.

Saturday is finally here - I am so pleased! This week had been so hectic what with work, puppy walks and then straight out to the hospital to visit my friend and the new baby! At the moment it looks like they are getting home today, so tonight should be a nice chilled night on the sofa with a take away!

The weather is awful today, we have had high winds all night and they are still going strong now. I decided that my nice bright orange skirt was just the way to brighten up a dull day! Although I did wear this skirt bare legged in the summer, I do prefer the look with black tights!

Friday 02.10.

Friday was a slow miserable day yet somehow I did not manage to post, thankfully I did take pictures. I am glad that I did as I really liked what I put together yesterday!

The waistcoat was part of the SkunkFunk Spring Summer range and it did not sell too well (I find that very in your face pattern either sells very well or goes straight to sale). When I was marking them to half price in the Summer sale I decided to put one aside for myself - thinking I could surely work it into my autumn wardrobe some way!

I am glad that I did as I really like the look of the waistcoat worn as a dress/tunic. A lot of the check detail is black so I decided to go with black underneath and my fabby new brown boots! I am sure that you will be seeing this look again soon!

Baby Lili

This beautiful photo shows just how worth it my, very, busy day yesterday was.

This is Baby Lili getting cuddles from her very proud big sister Hollie. I picked Hollie up from school yesterday and we hung out together until it was time to go and meet her new sister. She was an absolute star and I am sure she is going to be a fabulous big sister!

I did manage to get a cuddle of baby Lili too - she is just too cute!

Thursday 01.10.

Wow, what a day yesterday was. It was all go from the second I got up until I crashed on the sofa at around 10pm last night! It was hectic, it was manic - but it was all totally worth it, as my best friend had a beautiful baby girl at 4.12pm. She is healthy (7lb 4oz) and just perfect.

The temperature is starting to drop a bit here and I am now glad that I have decided to dig out the tights. I wore this outfit quite a bit last year and loved it and I still feel the same way. I love the check detail on the shorts as well as the length and cut of them.



I am not a huge fan of the waistcoat look (on me - I think it looks kind of weird) but I decided to give this one another go before possibly donating it! I think that all of this together looks good, but I am not sure ow to work this into my wardrobe more often.
First wear of the black wedges for a while - they have been living in the shop for ages (saves me lugging them in and out in my work bag) and it seems that I need to take them home and give them some love - ie. polish!
