A Catch Up.....

So yet again I let the blogging slip. I also have to admit that I my outfits did get a little sloppy there for a bit. But I am back and I am going to try hard to stay back.

So January was a good month for me and my family....

N asked me to marry him and I said "YES". I am now the very proud owner of that beauty of a ring. Our wedding is all booked and will take place this Summer. I had a week off work etc with my mum and we got 75% of the planning done! Venue booked, my dress bought, flowers organised, cake booked, photographer sorted and dressmaker booked to make bridesmaids dresses. There is still lots to be done but it is now the smaller things and the things that we are hoping to do ourselves (wish me luck with that).

Over the last few weeks my little baby seems to have lost her last bits of baby-ness. She wants to walk everywhere and pick out her own (wacky) outfits. When we walk the dog as a family she has always been in the buggy or N will carry her in the backpack carrier, but she now just wants to walk.

On Sunday we were at the beach for an hour (not getting very far but having lots of fun) and the picture below pretty much tells the whole story!

Yesterday I was out for the afternoon with my best friend. We scored a Groupon deal a few weeks ago for afternoon tea with a twist (cocktails in place of tea and coffee). We decided to make a day of it and had afternoon cocktails, did some window shopping, had another cocktail and then ended the day with sushi. It was fabulous and I hope that we can do it again soon. I do not have an outfit post for yesterday I only got the one picture and it is not the best head shot!

Monday 10.10.

Photobucket

We were away for a few days visiting family in Liverpool and this is what I wore to do some shopping before we had a 4 hour drive home - sorry that the picture is not the best.

We had a fabulous time but just wish that we could have had a bit longer to see family for longer and to actually do some sightseeing. The weather was not the best and we were all very aware of making good time home to make sure that a certain little miss was in her own bed at a good time. We had a few hours of wandering around the city centre and visiting plenty of shops. As always Miss O was a very lucky girl and is not the owner of a fabulous pink faux fur coat!!

I took this dress from the shop last week with this trip in mind and I am so glad that I did. I felt so smart yet able to chase Miss O around without worry of exposing myself. And I have to say I do love the red flats with it!!

Monday's look was:

Dress - Blend
Tights - New Look
Shoes - Tod's

The best present.

My family are all home from there holidays and my sisters have already been in to see me, this of course was a lovely surprise, but even better they came bearing gifts!!!

My sister who had been in Orlando was very generous indeed, she brought me a lovely Coach bag - it is in my signature brown and beige tones! But best of all she brought me two magazines (ones that I can almost never get here) Milk Duds, Junior Mints and twizzler! What an afternoon I am going to have Reading magazines and eating sweets that I love! I always bring as many Milk Duds and Junior Mints home as I can, but they never last long!

My other sister brought me a lovely silk scarf (she was in Zante in the Greek Islands). They both made me suitably sick with the suntans that they have!
