Saturday 29.08.

Saturday at last - this week has been a long one! At this moment I can not even think what we have planned for the weekend - so it can not be that exciting!

I saw this dress in H&M when we were in Manchester the other week. It was my intention to just look, but I could not resist the lovely ruffles on the skirt! The picture does not show it well, but the top part is actually a very pale pink!



I have not worn this necklace in a long time as I gave my sister a loan of it and I have only just got it back this week! I do love a good statement necklace!

Friday 28.08.

Friday ended up being a really hectic type of a day and I just did not get a chance to post ( I barely got the chance to take a photo).

I had a serious mental block when I went into the wardrobe yesterday - I honestly could not see something that was clean that I really wanted to wear. I was about to scream when I saw this drapey cardigan hanging on the back of the door! Comfy to wear and smart when paired with black - it was a winner!

Thursday 27.08.

I am so sick of this in between time!! The weather is not summer, not autumn. The clothes that I have for sale are all in between seasons and my wardrobe really needs a boost! I feel like I started the summer on a style high - I really felt great, I was confident that I had found my look. But now I just want nice new things to wear and for the weather to do one thing or the other!

The bf and I were in TK Maxx the other day and I found this beauty (yes it is the same as my other maxi dress, just a different colour) for just £6.00. I love it when things like that happen! Funny thing though - my coral one is fully lined this one is not!!

Oh and yes I do have bare feet today! Why?
Well 2 reasons really:
1) It is my shop, I am the boss and I can!
2) Not loving the shoes that I wore today!

Wednesday 26.08.

It is the middle of the week and today it feels like the middle of winter! The rain has poured all day long, the wind is howling and it is very, very grey outside. I did hear on the news this morning that we are suffering the effects of hurricane Bill as he fizzles out, but I think it is just an excuse for the awful weather in August!

I do not know about everyone else but I am not quite ready for tights and boots yet! Maybe this time next month, but I really do need a few more weeks of bare legs.

I have hardly worn this dress this summer and it is usually a staple in my summer work look! I think the main reason I have worn it less is that this year I am happier to embrace the shorter look! Before I have always felt too tall or heavy for shorter styles.
This dress is still a winner for the days where I want to look smart - yet be very comfy and have gone to very little effort!

Saturday 22.08.

My bf is taking me out for a bite to eat straight from work tonight and I have no idea where we will end up, so I decided to play it safe with my outfit! I am glad that I did as I have spent the entire day running up and down stairs getting stock for customers.

We have nothing at all planned for tomorrow and I am very excited about that. I think I may suggest a movie and popcorn afternoon!

Friday 21.08.

It is Friday - YAY. We all know what that means......... Tomorrow is Saturday and X-Factor is back on TV - which means Cheryl Cole and her amazing wardrobe are BACK!!! I can not wait, my Saturday nights are set until Christmas!!

The weather is dry and bright today so I thought that I would go bare legged (while I still can). I have not worn this dress a huge amount this summer and I am ashamed to say that it may be because it had fallen off the hanger and was lying in a heap on the floor. **Head hung in shame** Good thing it is amazing fabric that does not crease easily!

Thursday 20.08.

It is super wet here today - the rain started last night and it has continued to pour down ever since!

I have been awake since 4am, the rain battering off the window woke Bista, who woke me. I let her out and then tried to settle her in bed with us. She got settled just fine, but she is a restless little thing and I have pretty much been awake since 4am!

Because of this I went for a comfy outfit today. I think this works quite well for this in between time of year!

Summer!! Where are you?? Please come back.

It is like a winter day here today - cold, windy and wet. This morning after getting soaked when walking the dog I decided it was a jeans and t-shirt kind of a day!

However, this nice bright orange t-shirt is trying to keep things a bit cheerier! I really wanted to wear something orange today so that I could wear my little Gap sandals that I got on Sunday for an amazing £7.99 in the sale!

Sunday & Monday.

I was in Manchester on Sunday and Monday (with my bf) as I had an appointment to buy new styles for Spring/Summer 2010. The appointment was on Monday morning and it lasted about 2 hours, so the rest of the time was about spending time with my bf, shopping and relaxing.

Sunday we lounged in a coffee shop for a bit, checked into the hotel, had a look around the shops. It was a lovely day of wandering around window shopping and people watching. In the evening we headed out for Tapas dinner. It was delicious and the chilled wine that we washed it down with was equally yummy!

I do not have an outfit shot of Sunday daytime, but this is what I wore for dinner on Sunday evening.

Saturday 15.08.

I am seriously lacking in accessories today. And do you know what? It is not even my fault!

Bit of a long story, but here goes. My bf went out with the boys for a few drinks last night, at around 3 am he came in let the dog out and then woke me when he came into the bedroom. Fast forward to this morning at 6.15am when I got up with Bista and let her out (well I coaxed and forced her to go out in the pouring rain). I then fed her and took her upstairs to try and get her to snuggle for just a bit longer.

Anyway, I was up with her until it was time to go for my shower and get ready. At this point I asked my bf to make sure that he looked after her and let her out when she needed. All was well and then I went to get my necklace etc when I noticed a very sheepish Bista and a sleeping bf. That was when I noticed it............. The wet patch on the bed!!!!

So there you go, when I should have been getting my accessories together and packing my bag I was shouting at my bf for not taking the dog out and putting bedding in the laundry!! Not only did I forget to pick my accessories up, but I was really running late!

Friday 14.08.

I have had such a busy day so far! In the last 2 days I have had about 10 boxes of new styles delivered - this is good as I love it when new stock comes in - but they take up lots of space and time.
All new styles are now all checked, priced and displayed.

Today's picture is not the best (which is a shame as I think this is a lovely look) but I did not have the time to keep snapping away at pictures! I also did have my favourite Bakers necklace on this morning but it got caught, when I was taking a box upstairs to the store room, and broke. I hate when things like that happen!

On another note, I have started suggesting to my bf that I would LOVE a tripod! Fingers crossed I get one soon!

Thursday 13.08.

I decided to play it safe yet stylish with black skinnies and a nice embellished top! Of course because I am wearing black skinny jeans the sun is shining brightly and the temperature is rising! Oh well, sometimes these things happen!



I love these little shoes and I really so not wear them enough, hopefully they will see a lot more light in the next few months!

On another note 6 boxes of new styles arrived this afternoon, I am so glad about this as I am seriously getting tired of the same things that stare back from the wardrobe.

Wednesday 12.08.

Back to work today after a few (very much needed days off). I had a bit of a stressful weekend so my mum very kindly worked for me yesterday to give me a bit of a longer break. I used the time well and had lots of puppy cuddles!!!

I have no idea where today has gone - it is 3.30pm already and I have only just got caught up! There is a bit of a downside to the days off!

I really loved the black skirt from Thursday so I just took myself one in the other colour too (you have got to love the perks of the job). I mentally planned this outfit all day yesterday and I am really happy with how it has turned out.

I am not wishing away the beautiful summer weather but I am excited about wearing this outfit with the addition of purple tights!!

The bf and I are off to have dinner with friends (a BBQ if the weather holds out) this evening which will be fun. I made a banoffee pie this morning for pudding, it is chilling in the fridge at the moment - yummy!

Friday 07.08.

YAY FOR FRIDAY!!

For the last 2 weeks I have been loving Friday's as it means that the weekend is closer and now that I get a weekend (well Sunday and Monday) I feel like I can get excited!

Today's outfit came about from me being very jealous of Kyla of Blue Collar Catwalk and her FABULOUS orange Bermuda shorts! I am so, so in love with them, but have nothing even close to how amazing they are!

As the weather has gotten very warm here again I really wanted to wear a pair of shorts while I can. Last night I spent some time having a rummage to see what I could come up with. I have worn these cropped trousers rolled to Bermuda length before and like it, so they were in! Next I emptied out a drawer that has tops in it and I found this forgotten treasure!

I bought this more than 2 years ago to take to Cuba as it was lovely light cotton and a really floaty style. I wore it while we were away, but not much since. This is because floaty it is not - huge it is! Today I have the back of the top tied to create a more fitted look and I like it!

Thursday 06.08.

What an interesting evening I had last night!! I managed to get myself voted on to the local traders comittee! Me and my big mouth - one day I will learn to just sit and keep quiet! Oh, well I am sure it will be fun getting my ideas across!

I am off out straight from work today so I had to pick an outfit that was work, dinner, drinks and spiritualist appropriate! Yes I am off to a spiritualist evening with my good friend. I know that these things are not for everyone, but this one all proceeds from tickets are going to local charities. I take these things with a pinch of salt, but I am looking forward to good food and chat with my friend!

On an outfit note, I spied this belt in Tesco on Monday and knew that I would be able to jazz up the most boring of outfits with it, and at only £2.00 it was a steal!

Wednesday 05.08.

I am back to work very motivated after my few days off. I spent some of the time getting some wheels in motion for changes to the shop! Also the warm sunny weather has returned so that is helping me smile!

I have a traders association meeting this evening so I wanted to wear something smart for that yet something comfy for work (and making dinner in between). So, I decided that my maxi dress fit the bill perfectly. Last time I just wore the dress for ultra comfort and left accessories to a minimum, but today I have added brown tones and I really like it!

Monday 03.08.

First of all I am so sorry for the strange facial expression and for the red Fit Flops! I took the pictures in a rush and this is the best of a bad bunch and as for the shoes, these are what I wear to walk to and from work, I forgot to bring another pair with me today!

It feels like today has been a really long one! I think I am just eager to get home and get ready for dinner - we are headed out with friends and I am looking forward to it!
