I thought I would look out my comfy, bright maxi dress to cheer me up. I wish I had not bothered! I hate the way that this dress looks in pictures.

My mum bought me this dress for the weeks right after Orla was born and it was perfect and I felt that it was so flattering on! Not the case today - roll on 5pm when I can go home and take this off!

Today's outfit is:

Yellow maxi dress - New York & Co
Cami - Primark
cardigan - Vila
Sandals - Primark
Necklace - Primark

I love the long maxi dresses. They really are so comfortable!! We actually matched as I just wore one too (only mine was black and yours is such a fun yellow).

Hi there Boutique girl!
I've just found your blog, and on reading past posts, found myself nodding in complete agreement. I too own a boutique, in Australia, although I've been "at it" many more years than you! I actually started my fashion retail career in the UK, training with Debenhams before coming to OZ.
I can so very much identify with your shop experiences;difficult customers; hating Sale time;dealing with returns ( customers and wholesalers); angst over quiet days etc!
On the other hand, I LOVE what I do, and look forward to coming to work every day; it's the thrill of helping someone go away happy with their purchase.
I'll sign up as a follower, and look forward to other shared experiences
BTW, enjoy that baby of yours, I've just become a grandmother for the first time!

this dress looks super nice! The color looks "happy!" My huz has family still in Scotland, and I've never been there!! It's neat to read a blog from there, so I can some perspective on the culture! :)
