These dresses arrived in the shop when I was working the day before and as soon as I saw this gorgeous olive/khaki shade I knew that one was going home with me.

This dress is so comfortable to wear and I felt so smart in it. I do not think I will get much chance to wear it bare legged as our summer seems to be in hiding. But I will be packing it for our trip to Orlando in November. I think it will look rather cute with gold flip flops and an across the body bag.

Tuesday 02.08.

Oh dear it appears that it has been a month since I last posted. I truly am sorry. I do not mean to be such a slack blogger, I honestly do not. But life is just so busy at the moment.

I have been lusting after a pair of brightly coloured trousers for a few weeks now and I got them yesterday when I was on a girlie shopping day with Miss O, my mum and my two sisters. I managed to get exactly what I have been looking for in Primark ( perfect price to pay for something that may not be worn for too long).

I used to have the most fabulous pair of bright orange jeans from Benetton - oh how I regret binning them!! I am sure that they would not have fitted me now anyway - if they had I am sure the style would have been way off for me now!

Wednesday 16.02.11

I apologise for the late posting lately! It is not happening through laziness it just seems that with only working 3 days a week I have so much to deal with when I am here that blogging gets missed! I think I may have to look at blogging from home sometimes........ This is something that I have never done and to me it seems strange! I have no idea why??

Anyway back to Wednesday.

The blouse that I have on has been in stock for a little while now and I have always liked it and thought that it would slip into my wardrobe very well. But with only working the few days now I do not feel that I can treat myself quite as often as I used to.

However, a week ago a customer tried this on and got make-up in the front of the top (aarrgghh). So I thought to myself instead of taking money off this item (if anyone is interested in a top that has make-up on it) I am going to take it home and wear it! I have magical laundry potions for such stains.

I am so glad that I did as I am really very happy with how this look turned out!

I am in the shop again today, so here I am blogging (sticking to my word and making a point of doing it when I am here). I have a few weeks of working 3 days so you lovelies can expect to see a bit more of me!! I am sure that you are all thrilled!?

The dress that I have on today is one of the newer styles that we have in i am..... It is a style that I look at as being season less or an in between piece. I love items like this as I can wear something underneath or a cardigan over for warmth.

I just adore the shape of this dress and even without the tights, boots and scarf I felt dressed as it just seemed to work so well. I especially love the skirt!

I had no Internet in the shop yesterday so I could not post my outfit pictures - and there is no time to do such things at home.

I got the inspiration for this outfit while I was reading a copy of Marie Claire. I was scanning the Hot Trends for 2011 section when I noticed that they made a mention to Ditsy Florals. I have had this dress since we were in Orlando in November but had yet to wear it. So while having a soak in the bath this outfit came to me and I am quite pleased with how it turned out.

On another note - this dress was a bargain. It was in the clearance section for $7.50 and there was then another 30% off the entire store. You have to love after Thanksgiving sales!!

Happy New Year to you all! I hope that things have started out well for everyone and that 2011 brings you all that you wish for.

As I mentioned before I am going to make myself blog on the days that I am in work - so here we are! First day back at work and first blog post of 2011.

The festive break has been lovely, we as a family have spent lots of time together doing all kinds of fun stuff. But, it was so nice to get up this morning and get back into some sense of routine. I was really unsure of what outfits to get back to blogging with..... but now I have lots of ideas and I am looking forward to the coming working days!

This outfit is a pretty new one and I love it! The hat, shorts, cardigan and boots were all bought when we were in Orlando in November. The shorts are super comfy yet I feel very smart wearing them. I have been wanting a nice pair of smart grey boots for a while that are flat and these for me are perfect. The cardigan well I feel that it needs no explaining, it is not black and that is all that matters to me! The hat!! Well the hat I saw in Target and tried it on and danced around in front of Orla and she giggled and laughed, my mum then came around the corner and said how nice the hat was. I looked in the mirror and agreed, so in the trolley it went!

New clothes, new clothes!!!

These are the first clothes that I have taken from the shop for AGES!!! Well I was rather pregnant and then not working for a while. But last week I decided that I had been good for far too long and some jeans and a sweater made their way home with me!

The jeans are super skinny (I had to put them on like tights!!) and they are marketed as bum lifting jeans! The pockets are shaped and positioned to give a nice round and lifted look!
I have to say I like the effect and although the jeans are very skinny, they are very comfortable!

As for the sweater, well it is just so cute - and it goes very well with my new wedge shoe boots!! Need I say more?

Friday 19.03.

Yesterday was quite a long day. I was out and about buying new stock for the shop. Now today I feel tired! I am still suffering with a cold and cough which is not helping.

I went casual today for the fact that I am tired and because my mum and sisters were all out shopping the other day and they bought me this t-shirt! I think it is pretty cute! It was very well received as I had just been saying that I need some tops to get me through the next few weeks.

Friday 19.02.

It is Friday again - they seem to be coming around really fast at the moment......

I ended up having a bit of a later night than planned last night and I am very sleepy today. I thought that to combat the sleepiness I should wear something fabulous.



These studded waistcoats came into stock a few weeks ago and I LOVE them. I think they are going to work in so many ways and with so many items no matter what the season - I hope to be able to try it with safari shorts and a white t-shirt in the summer.

I think that it works well with the colours in the tunic and it prompted me to wear bashed gold/bronze cuff that I have not worn for such a long time!
I seem to have lost the love for jewellery whilst pregnant. I am sure it will return, although how well it will work with a baby - I am not sure!!

I have had a busy day cleaning and changing the window display, shifting stock around and chatting a serving the customers that have ventured out on this cold but very sunny day. I shall be having an easy, relaxing night and hopefully weekend.

Monday 01.02.

It is a day where I have said "I can not believe it" A LOT!!!

I can not believe that I am working a Monday - that was hard this morning. It is amazing how quickly you get out the way of something.
I can not believe that it is February already. Wow - that means I have....... Oh you know........ 13 and a half weeks until my due date! So much to do and so little time!
I can not believe how much I love these tunic/top/dresses that came into stock last week. They are gorgeous, soft, stretchy lycra and they fit over my bump! YAY, normal clothes!!
I can not believe how bad all of the pictures I took today were!!!

I wish I had a fabulous pair of red flat boots to wear with this look. Mental note I am going to keep an eye out for some!

Saturday 19.12.

The Saturday before Christmas was and odd one!!! It did not feel like a Saturday as it got off to a bit of a slow start, but then it all got a bit mad and I ended up having no time to post!

I had another new dress on - I do love it when new season styles start to filter through. What I love most about this dress is that it is navy and not black. It is a lovely fine knit, it is a loose fit - yet not shapeless and the ruffle detailing is very cute! I paired the navy with brown and liked the look (even if it does remind me of a bruise).

The best part of Saturday was getting to meet some real life bloggers/tweeters!! Fi (Shoegal) and Emma (@InTheseHeels) were in the area and popped in to say Hi! It was so nice to finally meet some of the people that I "speak" to each day! They were both lovely and I hope to spend more time with them in the future!

Wednesday 16.12.

I watched the first episode of Glee last night and I have to say that I loved it! It was just a sneak peak as it does not start until the new year, but I can not wait for it to start properly. It is such a sweet show!

Another week and my (non-maternity) skinny jeans still fit (yay) and are still comfy (double yay). So, I thought I would throw on a long sleeved t-shirt and this fab new cardigan that came into stock last week. It is a beautiful fine knit, it is drapey and it is striped - perfect for throwing on over the coming months!

Tuesday 15.12.

The 15th of December??? How did we get here, I know that I have said it so many times this year, but this year has gone super fast!!

I think I am just about organised for Christmas, I have a few little gifts to buy and I plan to do that on Thursday afternoon. After that I am going to get them all wrapped, under the tree and break out the Christmas movies from them until the big day!

I got some new styles delivered to the shop at the end of last week and I am wearing one of the tunic style jumpers today! It is so nice to see the clothing return to normal, everyday casual wear - I do not know about you guys but I am over party dresses and sequins. It could just be me as I have been staring at them since August!!

The tunic/jumper is a beautiful fine knit, the gorgeous detailing on the sleeves takes a plain cream jumper to another level. I am hoping that this will be a smarter go to piece for me over the coming weeks!

While we were away I added quite a few pairs of leggings to my collection (as I see them being a staple for me over the next few months). The pair I have on today are my favorite - they are from Target and they are cable knit! LOVE THEM!!!



Yesterday I had a layer too few on, so when I was getting ready this morning I made extra sure that I had my camisole/vest on!

I love this feather jewellery that I picked up in Forever 21, but I think that the earrings may just be a wee bit too long for me! However, the necklace is just perfect, it is a great weight and hangs well and does not twist on itself!

No Halloween plans for me this year! I was in work all day and we had some friends round in the evening.

This dress is a new style in the shop and I just love everything about it. It was honestly like wearing PJ's to work - I was that comfy! I was going to pair the dress with grey tights and a grey cardigan, but I thought that would be a bit dull and boring. So, I dug out the purple ones that I love!

Friday 18.09.

First of all I would like to thank you for the comments that you left yesterday wishing me luck for my celebratory night in the shop! It was a good night and the customers enjoyed the wine and there were 8 lucky ladies who left with fabulous goodies. It was not quite as busy as I had hoped, but the schools are off for a long weekend here and I think many people had other plans!

Back to today! The bf and I were out for a bit on Sunday and we ended up at out local Next clearance store. I spied the shoe rail and came across these fabulous boots down to £30 and in my size! And the lovely bf bought them for me! They have a nice tick rubber sole which is going to be great for walking to work in the winter! I am just so in love with the fringing!

I really wanted to wear this dress one more time before it gets packed away until next spring and I wanted to wear the boots without tights - so the perfect combo was born! I have to say that I love this look!

I am having one of those days and it is not even 11am yet!!
First of all the dog was up and wanting out and 5.45am, she then would not go back to sleep. I ended up being all out of sorts and running late. When I got to work I realised that I had left the laptop at home, so I had to turn around and get it!
I am positive that the day is going to get better from this point on!!

Saturday at last - this week has been a long one! At this moment I can not even think what we have planned for the weekend - so it can not be that exciting!

I saw this dress in H&M when we were in Manchester the other week. It was my intention to just look, but I could not resist the lovely ruffles on the skirt! The picture does not show it well, but the top part is actually a very pale pink!



I have not worn this necklace in a long time as I gave my sister a loan of it and I have only just got it back this week! I do love a good statement necklace!

What an interesting evening I had last night!! I managed to get myself voted on to the local traders comittee! Me and my big mouth - one day I will learn to just sit and keep quiet! Oh, well I am sure it will be fun getting my ideas across!

I am off out straight from work today so I had to pick an outfit that was work, dinner, drinks and spiritualist appropriate! Yes I am off to a spiritualist evening with my good friend. I know that these things are not for everyone, but this one all proceeds from tickets are going to local charities. I take these things with a pinch of salt, but I am looking forward to good food and chat with my friend!

On an outfit note, I spied this belt in Tesco on Monday and knew that I would be able to jazz up the most boring of outfits with it, and at only £2.00 it was a steal!

Yippee, it is Friday!!

Thought I would wear my new skirt to keep up my theme or the week - which appears to be having my legs on display!! I got this on Sunday when I was out with a friend and I have to say that I love it a lot! It is just so bright and fun! I am sorry to wear the same shoes 3 days running, but they have just worked so well with each of the outfits!

I have a quiet weekend ahead (which will be great) but we do have a big occasion on Sunday...... The beautiful Bista can get out to walk around in the big bad world!! We are all very excited about this as the garden is no longer quite enough to wear her out!!
